Despite XRP trading around $1.07, the cryptocurrency has experienced significant network expansion in 2026. According to reports from AMBCrypto, the XRP Ledger added 489,739 new accounts in the first half of 2026, bringing the total to a new peak of 8.403 million accounts in July. This growth occurred while XRP's price declined approximately 41% year-to-date, highlighting the disconnect between network activity and price performance.
The network expansion is supported by declining exchange supply, which fell to a 7-year low of 2.748 billion XRP tokens. As reported by AMBCrypto, cumulative spot ETF inflows reached $1.50 billion, accounting for about 1.48% of the market cap. The daily total net flow was $5.98 million with a total traded value of $8.83 million, indicating continued institutional interest despite the price decline.
Ripple Mint went live for institutional RLUSD, with the stablecoin's market cap growing on both the XRP Ledger and Ethereum networks. According to AMBCrypto, Ripple minted 15 million RLUSD on Ethereum and then burned 10 million RLUSD from their treasury. The circulating supply of RLUSD on Ethereum climbed above $712 million, while the XRP Ledger maintained $873 million in circulating supply.
Despite the network growth, XRP faces technical challenges with the price down 21.8% over three months and 36.6% in six months. As reported by AMBCrypto, XRP is trading 6.67% above $1, but remains vulnerable to breaking below this key support level. The RSI at 43 indicates mid-selling activity, though the altcoin remains above the SuperTrend and above the $1 support level. The sideways market position suggests potential for the growing network activity to help maintain price levels above the lower support zone.
