Robinhood Chain has achieved a top-five ranking by DEX volume with $3.1 billion in trading volume over the past week, according to Bernstein research. This represents a significant escalation from the $560-570 million in 24-hour DEX volume recorded on July 8, 2026, when the network overtook Hyperliquid as the top decentralized exchange by that metric. The network has since climbed past $240 million in TVL within the week, driven primarily by Morpho lending deposits and Ethena farming against a 7% yield incentive, with roughly 4 million transactions producing about $57,000 in protocol revenue. The $570 million volume against $21.68 million of liquidity represents the most extreme ratio seen in DeFi at comparable scale, with mature venues typically running at or below 1-to-1 ratios.
The platform has demonstrated strong early adoption with more than 65,000 users now holding roughly $13 million in tokenized stocks and $300 million in stablecoins on the network, as reported by Bernstein. This represents a significant expansion from the daily active addresses approaching 200,000 at peak during the initial surge, with more than 140,000 of those being first-time users. The catalyst for this growth was CASHCAT, a cat memecoin that emerged organically on the new chain and alone accounted for roughly $98 million of the $560-570 million total volume, with the token hitting an all-time high above $0.14 and generating approximately $98 million in 24-hour volume on its own. Daily active addresses on Robinhood Chain approached 200,000 at peak, with more than 140,000 of those being first-time users, signaling genuine demand pull rather than existing DeFi participants rotating between chains.
The network's explosive growth has been primarily driven by institutional DeFi flows rather than retail participation. According to Tron Weekly, approximately $90 million of the $100 million TVL sits inside Morpho, the on-chain lending protocol integrated at launch, which powers the roughly 7% annual percentage yield available through Robinhood Earn on USDG deposits. The largest catalyst came from Ethena, which deposited $50 million into a Steakhouse Financial-managed USDG vault on Morpho in a single transaction, accounting for much of the network's sharp one-day TVL increase. The platform launched with full support for Uniswap's v2, v3, v4 and UniswapX infrastructure from day one, with trading activity centered on Wrapped Ether (WETH), memecoins and tokenized equity assets including NVDA, AAPL and GOOG. Uniswap founder Hayden Adams confirmed that most transactions on Robinhood Chain are denominated in ETH, stating that "it's the base pair for trading, the highest volume asset, and the gas token to pay for blockspace."
A structurally significant feature of Robinhood Chain is its reported support for tokenized equities, on-chain representations of stocks including large-cap names, reportedly tradeable 24/7 without market-hours restrictions. According to Bernstein, this design philosophy places Robinhood Chain in a different category from most retail crypto adoption stories, as retail users who already own equities in their Robinhood brokerage account don't need to understand crypto mechanics to interact with an on-chain version of the same asset. The launch comes as tokenized real-world assets continue to outperform the broader crypto market, with the sector growing to more than $51 billion, up about 50% year-to-date, while tokenized equities have expanded roughly 170% this year to $1.9 billion. The platform launched on July 1, 2026 as a permissionless Ethereum Layer 2 built on the Arbitrum stack, running 100-millisecond block times and using ETH for gas with no proprietary native token.
According to Bernstein analysts led by Gautam Chhugani, the launch strengthens Robinhood's strategy to expand tokenized financial products through DeFi, highlighting the growing convergence of tokenized real-world assets with the broader DeFi ecosystem. While early trading has been driven by memecoins, the broker expects Robinhood to increasingly focus on tokenized real-world assets, including stocks and commodities, alongside perpetual futures. The report highlighted Robinhood's integrations with partners including Uniswap, Morpho, Lighter, Chainlink and BitGo as key to building liquidity and expanding the utility of tokenized assets. Over 13,900 smart contracts were deployed in the first week, demonstrating rapid ecosystem development, with volumes having since normalized into the tens of millions per day as expected after any speculative spike. Bernstein maintains an outperform rating on Robinhood stock with a $130 price target, with shares trading at $111.35 in early Monday trading.
