Wirex One, the global stablecoin infrastructure provider's new neobank for mass affluent consumers, launched publicly on September 16, 2026, as a day-one partner on Arc's mainnet. According to reports from Wirex, the platform follows a closed beta that amassed over 20,000 users in testing since June. The launch targets an underserved market segment - affluent individuals who are too wealthy for retail banking but below the minimum for traditional private banking. The global private banking market is projected to grow by over 10% annually to reach $1.24 trillion by 2035, yet this segment remains structurally underserved. As reported by Wirex, stablecoins are closing this gap by enabling secure, borderless wealth management that the traditional financial system cannot provide. Arc's public mainnet launched with 11 founding validators, including major financial institutions such as Blackrock, Visa, and DTCC, alongside traditional finance partners like SBI, ICE, and Mastercard.
Wirex One offers comprehensive stablecoin-based financial services including a stablecoin-funded card with up to 8% cashback in USD, instantly spendable in everyday life. As reported by Wirex, the platform provides access to selected crypto and stablecoin yield features, support for a wide range of crypto assets, and multi-currency accounts with fee-free FX and ATM withdrawals globally. Users can send and receive payments via SEPA, ACH, Faster Payments, card transfers, and crypto transfers. The platform features an innovative membership model offering higher rewards, fee-free trading, dedicated account management, and 50% off premium subscriptions for leading AI and financial platforms for higher tiers. According to Pavel Matveev, Co-Founder & CEO of Wirex, "A new wave of fintech apps are being built on stablecoin rails, and they all need the same foundation: regulated issuing, accounts, settlement and yield. Wirex One is our own consumer platform built on that infrastructure, redefining what a private bank can be: a bank that you control, not a bank that controls you."
According to Wirex, Arc was strategically chosen as the foundation for Wirex One due to its stablecoin-native, payments-optimised design with built-in privacy layer and real-time settlement. Paired with Privy's non-custodial wallet technology, the platform provides users with complete ownership over their assets and institutional-grade security without the complexity typically associated with crypto wallets. Wirex One operates on Arc's open blockchain network, which is built for the world's financial markets, real-time value movement, and agentic economic activity. As reported by Wirex, Arc is an EVM-compatible L1 blockchain that uses USDC as its native gas, meaning transaction costs are quoted in dollars rather than volatile network assets. The network features sub-second settlement finality and opt-in privacy controls, making it purpose-built for stablecoin finance.
Blackrock plans to deploy BUIDL on Arc, allowing investors to subscribe, redeem and deploy fund assets in one onchain environment. DTCC is working with Circle to tokenize DTC-custodied assets on Arc starting in the second half of 2027. According to Circle, Arc is entering a multi-billion dollar tokenization market, where Circle's USYC has topped $3 billion, and Blackrock's BUIDL sits near $2.4 billion. The build was funded through Circle raising $222 million by selling 740 million ARC tokens at $0.30 apiece at a $3 billion fully diluted valuation, with Blackrock, A16z and Apollo among roughly a dozen buyers. Circle's own shares rallied 16% as that raise came together. More than 100 institutional and ecosystem builders worked on Arc's private mainnet, with day-one applications including Aave, Uniswap, Morpho, Aerodrome, FalconX, GSR and Keyrock on the decentralized finance side, alongside payments providers Rain, Thunes and Wirex.
Wirex has processed more than $20 billion in transactions across 130 countries since 2014 and is trusted by over 8 million users. As reported by Wirex, the company's stablecoin infrastructure recently reached $2 billion annualised card spend volume. The platform holds principal membership of both Visa and Mastercard, settling in USDC and EURC without an intermediary bank. Wirex builds its own products through the same API infrastructure, including Wirex Private for consumers, Wirex Business for companies, and Wirex Agents for AI agents. According to Wirex, the company created the first crypto-enabled card in 2015 and is one of the few crypto-enabled platforms with principal membership of both Visa and Mastercard.
