According to Strive's Form 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the company purchased 469 Bitcoin for approximately $36.6 million between September 8 and September 11. The company paid an average price of approximately $77,954 per Bitcoin, bringing its total corporate treasury to exactly 25,000 BTC as of September 11. This latest acquisition follows Strive's previous purchase of 1,800 BTC for about $143 million between August 24 and August 28, paying an average price of $79,431 per coin.
As reported by Strive, the company financed the $36.6 million purchase through proceeds from its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock (SATA), which trades under the SATA ticker. The SATA's nominal issuance value has now surpassed $1 billion in notional outstanding, providing Strive with a separate funding route while limiting common share dilution. The company also reported approximately $204.2 million in cash and $49.81 million worth of Strategy's STRC preferred stock as of September 11. CEO Matt Cole noted that the company's amplification ratio had increased to 53.5%.
According to Strive's disclosure, the company's Bitcoin holdings have grown significantly from 14,557 BTC in April to the current 25,000 BTC. The latest acquisition represents a sharp increase from the company's previous position of 23,156 BTC following the August purchases. As reported by crypto.news, Strive moved into fifth place among publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holders after the August transactions, with the company using proceeds from SATA preferred stock and ASST common shares to finance those earlier acquisitions.
Strive's treasury strategy includes both Bitcoin exposure and diversified assets. The company holds 505,000 shares of STRC preferred stock issued by Strategy, which carries a fair value of approximately $49.81 million. According to the company's disclosure, Strive assembled part of its current treasury through its combination with Semler Scientific, following an earlier corporate reorganization involving Asset Entities whose shareholders approved the merger with Strive in September 2025.
As reported by crypto.news, Strive's common stock had already drawn attention before the latest filing, with ASST trading above $27 on September 7, its highest level of 2026 at the time. CEO Matt Cole posted a Bitcoin-themed message on X before the later acquisition became public, stating "Wall-breaking season at Strive." The company's amplification ratio of 53.5% indicates that Strive calculates more Bitcoin exposure for common shareholders relative to its net asset value, with the figure subject to change based on Bitcoin holdings and capital structure adjustments.
