Ondo Finance has launched three onchain portfolio tokens based on investment strategies developed by BlackRock, giving eligible investors outside the United States access to each portfolio through a single token. The products are available as ONDO price rises, trading near $0.5361 after breaking the $0.5201 resistance, representing a 26.73% surge from previous levels. According to Ondo's September 24 announcement, the company named these products Ondo Intelligent Portfolios, with BlackRock developing the three opening strategies while Ondo Global Markets issues the portfolio tokens. Each token provides economic exposure to a basket of underlying assets and can be transferred between wallets, with investors able to inspect the portfolios' holdings, weights, and rebalances onchain. The income strategy focuses on bonds through a single token, while the two growth strategies use different allocations for investors seeking exposure across multiple assets including stocks, bonds, and Bitcoin exchange-traded funds.
The token's rapid price response was driven by spot buyers taking control of the rally, as highlighted by the Spot Taker CVD metric showing taker buyers dominated as ONDO pushed through key resistance levels. Spot volume surged 276.89% during the rapid price expansion, indicating considerably greater participation in the breakout. The technical MACD indicator confirmed the bullish setup with a positive histogram rising to 0.0165, highlighting stronger directional pressure. However, the RSI indicator climbed to 73.24, pushing beyond the conventional 70 overbought conditions threshold, though this did not invalidate the price breakout. The technical setup suggests ONDO could target $0.6000 if buyers maintain control above the $0.5201 support level, with a controlled retest of this support zone being crucial for preserving the breakout structure.
Ondo Finance has introduced direct conversions between traditional stocks and exchange-traded funds and their tokenized equivalents, giving approved institutions a new way to move securities onto blockchain rails without first funding the transaction with cash. The service connects Ondo Stocks with Alpaca's Instant Tokenization Network, allowing eligible institutions to transfer shares already held in their Alpaca account to Ondo through an internal book transfer. The integration builds on NEAR's partnership with Ondo Finance to provide eligible users access to 20 tokenized U.S. stocks, exchange-traded funds, and commodity-linked products through near.com and NEAR Intents. According to PRNewswire, Alex Shevchenko, CEO of Defuse Labs, emphasized that "Bringing financial markets onchain should give people more control over their money and more choice in how they transact." The companies emphasize that the trades are not broadcast publicly, adding an additional layer of privacy to the transaction process.
The first release includes tokenized exposure to major U.S.-listed companies such as Tesla, Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon, as reported by Ondo's September 22 announcement. The selection also encompasses the Invesco QQQ Trust, which tracks the Nasdaq-100, and precious-metals funds including the iShares Silver Trust and iShares Gold Trust. According to PRNewswire, the integration connects near.com users to Ondo's tokenized securities platform that currently boasts more than $1 billion in total value locked (TVL) and over $26 billion in cumulative trading volume. Users can purchase these tokens with supported assets already held in their near.com accounts, with Bitcoin and USDC among the funding options, eliminating the need to move assets to traditional brokerage accounts. The rollout also includes products linked to commodities such as gold and silver, with Ondo reporting more than 450 tokenized stocks and ETFs across its broader platform. Users can access these assets using assets like USDC, Bitcoin, and other supported cryptocurrencies across more than 30 networks.
The NEAR rollout comes as Ondo works to connect its tokenized products with conventional financial-market infrastructure. On September 16, Ondo's broker-dealer subsidiary Oasis Pro Markets joined the DTCC Fund/SERV network, becoming the first tokenization-platform member of the system. DTCC says Fund/SERV processes more than 85% of U.S. mutual fund transaction activity, providing access to established processes including transaction confirmations, reconciliation, fund distributions and regulatory reporting. Separately, Ondo has introduced a mechanism that allows approved institutions to mint tokenized securities using eligible shares they already hold, operating through Ondo Stocks and Alpaca's Instant Tokenization Network. The company has also expanded distribution through third-party platforms, including Ledger Wallet, where eligible users can interact with its tokenized stocks and ETFs. According to PRNewswire, the partnership brings tokenized securities into the same account users already use to manage crypto, allowing traditional market exposure and digital assets to sit side by side, marking a broader expansion of financial assets available through near.com as more real-world assets move onchain.
