South Korean financial technology company Koscom has announced plans to unveil its shared tokenized securities platform at Korea Fintech Week 2026, scheduled for October 25-27 in Seoul. According to the latest company announcement, the exhibition will take place at the aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul, and is organized by South Korea's Financial Services Commission under the theme "Beyond Finance, Into the Future." The company will focus on its shared infrastructure for securities firms preparing to enter the tokenized securities market, with the platform supporting securities issuance, account management and connections between related financial systems. As reported by Bloomingbit, the platform is an integrated infrastructure that supports tokenized securities issuance, account management and links with external systems, designed to connect existing brokerage ledger systems with blockchain-based distributed ledgers, reducing the cost and burden of building separate systems.
Koscom has completed joint development work on issuance infrastructure with LG CNS and testing through the Korea Securities Depository's token securities volume management testbed. As reported by Yonhap News Agency, the company has signed memorandums of understanding with 13 securities firms to cooperate on tokenized securities businesses. The platform supports securities issuance, account management and connections between related financial systems, with the company planning to present its platform development experience, testing results and cooperation with participating financial institutions during the exhibition. According to Bloomingbit, Koscom has also completed work with LG CNS to build tokenized securities issuance infrastructure and finished a total-volume management test-bed demonstration with Korea Securities Depository. The infrastructure connects existing ledgers with blockchain-based distributed ledgers, reducing the burden on brokerages to build their own systems while helping them identify products and develop services.
The presentation comes ahead of South Korea's new tokenized securities framework, which is scheduled to take effect on February 4, 2027. According to Yonhap News Agency, the Financial Services Commission recently proposed amendments to rules governing the issuance and trading of tokenized securities, including stocks, bonds, funds and fractional investment products. Public consultation on the proposals runs from October 2 through November 11. Several South Korean financial companies have been developing their own systems ahead of the regulatory changes, with Hanwha Investment & Securities completing a tokenized securities platform supporting Avalanche and Hyperledger Besu in September. As reported by Bloomingbit, Koscom CEO Yoon Chang-hyun stated that the company would support financial companies as they prepare tokenized securities businesses based on their experience operating IT systems for the capital market and their shared infrastructure.
Beyond tokenized securities, Koscom will introduce comprehensive financial data analysis services that utilize artificial intelligence. According to Bloomingbit, the company provides price and trading data for stocks, derivatives and bond markets, as well as supply-and-demand data, reference information and unstructured alternative data. At the event, Koscom will present analysis cases drawing on these data sets with AI technology and unveil K-EFS, a domestic stock prediction score service launched jointly with LG AI Research. The company will also introduce support programs for fintech companies, including its financial cloud support program that selects 60 firms each year and provides vouchers needed to use cloud services, and its D-Testbed program that supports 30 companies a year with data analysis and simulated testing environments to assess the commercial viability of new financial services in advance. KB Securities has taken a different approach through a partnership with Securitize and the Optimism Foundation, planning to develop tokenized funds for institutional investors, while Eugene Investment & Securities signed an agreement with BEATOZ in September to test stablecoin settlement for tokenized securities subscriptions.
