HashKey Exchange, Shanghai Commercial Bank and Visa have launched a co-branded credit card in Hong Kong, offering up to 4% rewards converted into crypto-linked vouchers. According to reports from crypto.news, eligible HashKey Exchange members can apply for the Shanghai Commercial Bank HashKey Visa Signature Credit Card through the two companies' mobile applications. The card links everyday spending with rewards that customers can use on the licensed exchange, with Shanghai Commercial Bank issuing the card and Visa providing global payment acceptance and transaction infrastructure.
The card offers 2% rewards on eligible local spending and 4% on eligible overseas spending during the promotion period. As reported by crypto.news, cardholders earn one point for every HK$1 spent and receive 250 points converted into HK$1 in HashKey HKD Cash Vouchers monthly on each statement date. New customers may receive up to HK$1,200 in HashKey HKD Cash Vouchers or HK$1,000 in spending credit, subject to the offer's terms. Users can apply the vouchers toward any supported cryptocurrency purchases or offset transaction fees on HashKey Exchange.
According to crypto.news, applicants must hold a HashKey account, live in Hong Kong and be at least 18 years old. The application process begins in the HashKey mobile app before redirecting users to Shanghai Commercial Bank's application. Shanghai Commercial Bank handles all banking and credit services, while HashKey's credit card disclosure states the exchange does not provide credit or banking services. The bank decides whether to approve each application, and the card features contactless payment capabilities.
HashKey Exchange Business Group CEO Haiyang Ru stated that the partnership seeks to expand regulated digital asset use beyond trading, moving "beyond speculative trading" by linking digital assets with broader financial services. As reported by crypto.news, Visa Hong Kong and Macau general manager Paulina Leong emphasized connecting digital asset services with familiar payment methods. The product follows an October 2025 announcement and joins Asia's growing crypto rewards card market, with HashKey among the first licensed exchanges to serve retail crypto customers in Hong Kong since August 2023.
According to crypto.news, HashKey was among the first exchanges licensed to serve retail crypto customers in Hong Kong and supports direct bank transfers in Hong Kong dollars and U.S. dollars. The company expanded as a publicly listed digital asset company in June, with its board approving a share repurchase plan worth up to HK$100 million after its stock rose from recent lows. The card arrives as part of broader Asian finance groups linking card spending with digital asset rewards, following SBI and Visa's Japanese credit card program tied to Bitcoin, Ether and XRP rewards introduced in May.
