GhostSwap has launched a new public swap-rate API that provides developers instant access to live crypto exchange rates without requiring an API key. According to reports from GhostSwap, the new endpoint exposes the platform's best available swap rates across more than 1,600 cryptocurrency pairs, along with minimum and maximum swap limits through a simple, CORS-enabled interface optimized for fast integration.
The public endpoint is available immediately via a straightforward POST request to the /v1/quotes endpoint, accepting three primary parameters: from (the token being sold), to (the token being bought), and amountFrom (the amount to swap). As reported by GhostSwap, the API returns the live best available rate alongside the minimum and maximum swappable amounts for that specific pair. The coverage spans major assets like BTC, ETH, and SOL across EVM-compatible chains and popular layer-2 networks.
According to GhostSwap, the no-key method eliminates the friction of traditional API key management, reducing onboarding from a multi-day administrative process to a thirty-second integration sprint. The API benefits three key developer categories: browser-based builders can embed live swap rates directly into UI without managing backend infrastructure, trading bots and automated strategies gain resilient data streams without authentication errors, and price-display and comparison sites can deploy updates instantly without waiting for contract renewals or partner approvals.
As reported by GhostSwap, this launch represents a philosophical shift toward open, permissionless pricing data infrastructure. The company aims to reject the traditional model of treating exchange rates as proprietary assets to be licensed, instead releasing rates as a public utility that aligns with their core no-KYC crypto swap API philosophy. The open approach enables solo developers to access the same aggregated liquidity as well-funded institutional partners, while allowing AI agents and autonomous scripts to fetch rates without pre-authorization.
