Galaxy Digital has launched Galaxy Curator, a Morpho-based platform that provides Fireblocks' 2,400 institutional clients access to onchain yield strategies. According to reports from Galaxy Digital, the offering is available through Fireblocks Earn, allowing institutions to deploy idle stablecoins into curated onchain yield strategies without managing decentralized finance infrastructure directly. The platform targets a longstanding challenge for institutional crypto holders, where large stablecoin balances often remain uninvested between settlements due to complexity and risk associated with directly interacting with DeFi protocols. Tal Zackon, SVP Treasury at Fireblocks, emphasized that "Institutional capital has been sitting idle on the blockchain for years waiting for trusted infrastructure to emerge. Now, with Galaxy on Fireblocks Earn, institutions get best-in-class digital asset security built into the same platform as the risk discipline, collateral standards, and operational controls that serious treasury strategy actually demands."
The launch introduces two institutional vault products built on Morpho's lending infrastructure. As reported by Galaxy Digital, the Quality Vault allocates capital exclusively to markets backed by blue-chip collateral with emphasis on capital preservation, while the Enhanced Vault expands into higher-yielding assets including liquid restaking tokens, Pendle principal tokens and Ethena products. The platform applies Galaxy's institutional risk framework, including collateral standards, exposure limits and market monitoring, to DeFi lending while assets remain at the protocol level. Zane Glauber, Global Head of Distribution at Galaxy, noted that "Institutions have been asking for a way to put stablecoin capital to work onchain without building the operational stack themselves. Galaxy Curator applies the same risk discipline we run across our lending and trading businesses to onchain markets, and the Fireblocks integration means clients can access it without changing how they operate."
The rollout occurs amid intense competition in professional vault curation, which has emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments of DeFi. According to Galaxy Digital, firms including Bitwise, Gauntlet, Steakhouse Financial, Wintermute, Dialectic and RockawayX have launched or expanded curated vault offerings on Morpho over the past year. Competition has intensified as crypto platforms expand beyond simple trading, with Robinhood expanding its tokenization strategy and Kraken rolling out its xStocks ecosystem for tokenized U.S. equities. The platform leverages Morpho's open, modular architecture for implementing scalable, custom onchain strategies with systematic risk management, designed for different risk and yield objectives. Existing Galaxy-managed vaults on Morpho are already showing meaningful total value locked in the tens of millions, demonstrating early market traction.
Galaxy's vault business draws on its broader institutional platform, which includes an average loan book of $1.4 billion for the period December 31, 2025, through March 31, 2026, more than $3 billion in staked assets across five custodians, and a distribution network of more than 1,600 institutional counterparties globally. As reported by Galaxy Digital, the platform maintains institutional-grade controls while allowing clients to retain asset control at the protocol level, with transactions continuing to flow through Fireblocks' existing approval, signing and policy controls. The collateral standards, exposure limits, and market monitoring that govern Galaxy's OTC trading and lending business are applied directly to its vault curation practice, ensuring consistent risk management across all institutional services. Galaxy isn't the first firm to take on this role, with Bitwise and Gauntlet already operating as institutional curators on Morpho, demonstrating the growing institutional adoption of DeFi yield strategies.
