U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs ended June 12 with $4.95 million in daily net outflows, according to reports from SoSoValue. The total trading value reached $483.85 million, while net assets stood at $9.16 billion. The funds accounted for 4.56% of Ethereum's market capitalization after the latest update. Most Ethereum ETFs recorded zero daily flow changes, while all listed prices declined during the trading session. The outflows come as global liquidity conditions tighten due to the Bank of Japan's anticipated rate increase from 0.75% to 1.0%, which is raising borrowing costs and higher Japanese bond yields, potentially reducing risk appetite and testing Bitcoin's resilience.
BlackRock's ETH led the group by net assets and trading activity, holding $4.75 billion in net assets equal to a 2.36% Ethereum share. The fund recorded $4.53 million in daily net outflow and 2,720 ETH in daily ETH outflow. ETHA traded at $12.57, down 1.02%, with $355.36 million in value traded and daily volume reaching 28.21 million shares. Fidelity's FETH reported the second daily outflow with $415,230 in daily net outflow and 249.04 ETH in daily ETH outflow, trading at $16.58 with a 1.01% price decline. The tightening liquidity environment may be contributing to these outflows as investors become more cautious about crypto exposure.
Grayscale's ETH ranks second by net assets with $1.46 billion and recorded zero daily net inflow and zero daily ETH inflow on June 12. The fund traded at $15.83, down 0.94%, with $46.86 million in value traded and volume reaching 2.95 million shares. Grayscale's ETHE followed with $1.30 billion in net assets and also recorded zero daily net inflow and zero daily ETH inflow. The fund traded at $13.47, down 0.96%, with $30.05 million in traded value and a 2.50% fee ranking as the highest among listed funds. These funds' stability contrasts with the broader market outflows, suggesting institutional confidence remains relatively strong despite the challenging liquidity environment.
Several smaller Ethereum ETFs including ETHV ($82.25 million net assets), EZET ($34.12 million), QETH ($16.29 million), and TETH ($15.99 million) all showed no daily inflow changes. Their daily price declines ranged from 0.86% to 1.02%. TETH recorded $5.23 million in value traded, above several smaller funds. Premium and discount readings remained negative across all listed Ethereum ETFs, with ETHW showing the widest discount at -0.23% and QETH at -0.07%. The consistent pattern across smaller funds suggests retail investors are maintaining cautious positions amid the challenging liquidity conditions.
