The Cardano Foundation and Fireblocks announced on September 24 that Cardano Native Tokens (CNTs) will become standard assets on the Fireblocks platform by March 2027. According to the announcement, institutional clients will be able to custody, send, and receive Cardano Native Tokens under existing security and policy controls. Fireblocks has supported Cardano's native coin, ADA, since 2021, and the planned integration covers tokens using the Cardano Token Registry standard (CIP-26) and the network's onchain metadata standard (CIP-68). The companies expect support to become available by March 2027 and also plan to assess further integrations with Cardano's decentralized finance ecosystem during 2027. This expanded integration could give the wider Cardano token economy significantly greater institutional access, as it allows the thousands of banks, exchanges, payment firms and fintech companies using the Fireblocks platform to custody, send and receive assets issued on Cardano.
ADA traded near $0.254 on September 24 after reaching approximately $0.253 during the day, representing a 0.3% daily gain and a 14.6% surge over seven days. As reported by CoinGecko, the recent high around $0.262 remains the next key level to watch, with the daily chart showing $0.262 in view if ADA clears resistance near $0.26. Support levels are positioned at $0.233 on the daily chart and $0.22 region on the weekly chart, with the Fibonacci retracement placing the 78.6% level at $0.2359. The recent move has strengthened ADA's short-term momentum, with the token having traded between approximately $0.233 and $0.253 over the past 24 hours, while its market capitalization stands near $9.29 billion.
The daily relative strength index stood near 64, above its average of about 56, while the moving average convergence divergence indicator showed positive momentum with the MACD line above the signal line. On the 4-hour chart, ADA had retreated from above $0.26 before recovering to around $0.247, with the Supertrend indicator remaining below price near $0.2354. The rising trendline on the 4-hour chart points toward the $0.25 area, making a sustained move above that level relevant for another test of the recent peak. The recent move has strengthened ADA's short-term momentum, with the $0.25 area representing the immediate psychological resistance level; a sustained break above it could bring $0.27-$0.28 into focus, while failure to hold the recent breakout could see ADA retest support around $0.23, followed by the $0.22 region.
CoinGlass' 24-hour ADA liquidation heatmap shows a bright band near $0.252, just above current price levels, with other visible bands around $0.242 and $0.236. The larger group of liquidation levels sits near $0.23, indicating where leveraged positions could face liquidation if price reaches these areas. The nearby $0.252 band also falls below the recent high around $0.26, meaning ADA would need to pass both areas to confirm a stronger breakout on displayed charts. With ADA already up almost 19% over the past month, momentum has clearly improved, but the key question remains whether these developments can translate into sustained network usage and demand for ADA itself.
According to Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard, access through infrastructure institutions could help issuers of stablecoins and tokenized assets on Cardano reach firms using the Fireblocks platform. The Cardano Foundation entered Mastercard's Crypto Partner Program on September 15, joining more than 100 firms already inside the network, targeting cross-border payments, business transfers, and stablecoin use. Six days later, ADA joined the x402 tool, opening the door to AI payments on its own chain. The deal links ADA to rails that move $9.2 trillion each year. The Cardano Foundation's Leios project continues to progress through prototype development, with recent work focused on improving data handling, node performance, and Endorser Block management, while the public Leios testnet went live earlier this year providing developers with an environment to test the proposed scaling architecture.
