Bybit has integrated with Mesh's network of more than 300 wallets, exchanges and financial platforms, giving Bybit's claimed 80 million users a direct way to spend or transfer assets held in their exchange accounts. According to Bybit's September 3 announcement, users can now access their exchange balances when checking out or adding funds on platforms powered by Mesh. The integration removes the need for users to withdraw funds to a separate wallet, convert them manually, or transfer them to another service before completing a transaction. "Bybit Pay is designed to remove the friction between holding digital assets and using them to pay. Users can pay directly from their Bybit balance, using the asset they already hold, while platforms receive the asset they want," said Sophie Chen, Head of Marketing, Bybit Card & Pay. The partnership enables Bybit's global user base to tap into Mesh's network while businesses can accept payments from eligible Bybit users through their existing Mesh integration.
For businesses, the integration adds another payment source without requiring a separate connection to Bybit. Companies that already use Mesh can enable Bybit Pay through the same technical setup, allowing them to accept payments from eligible Bybit users. As reported by Bybit, Mesh's programmable tools let businesses set how and when funds are settled in different markets. The service allows customers to use assets held in their account while the receiving platform obtains its preferred asset, potentially reducing manual steps when payer and recipient want different currencies. "For businesses, the integration provides a direct connection to Bybit's global user base and enables them to accept payments from Bybit users through their existing Mesh integration," according to the company announcement. The flexible architecture enables programmable settlement options, giving businesses greater control over how and when funds are settled across markets.
Mesh operates an infrastructure layer connecting wallets, crypto exchanges, and financial applications. The network covers more than 300 platforms, supporting digital asset transfers, account connections, and payment settlement between participating services. According to Mesh, participating services can place supported accounts and payment choices inside their own interfaces rather than requiring users to copy wallet addresses and arrange separate transfers. The company previously raised $75 million in Series C funding in January, bringing its total financing above $200 million and valuing the company at $1 billion. "Founded in 2020, Mesh is building the first global crypto payments network, connecting hundreds of exchanges, wallets, and financial services platforms to enable seamless digital asset payments and conversions," the company states. By unifying these platforms into a single network, Mesh is pioneering a connected and secure ecosystem for digital finance.
Mesh raised $75 million in January with Dragonfly Capital leading the round, alongside participation from Paradigm, Moderne Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, SBI Investment, and Liberty City Ventures. The company plans to use the financing to extend its operations across Latin America, Asia, and Europe. According to reports, Binance was reportedly planning to lead another Mesh round at a valuation of as much as $2 billion, though no formal announcement has been made. Mesh's existing investors include Coinbase Ventures and PayPal Ventures, giving the company financial ties to both crypto exchanges and major payments groups. "Bybit has built one of the most engaged communities in crypto," said Bam Azizi, CEO and Co-founder of Mesh. "People shouldn't have to move their money to use it. We bring the network to where the money already is."
