Bond Labs has launched its AI-native DeFi platform on 0G blockchain network, marking a significant step toward building financial infrastructure for autonomous AI agents. According to reports from CoinDesk, the platform combines a spot decentralized exchange, perpetuals exchange, lending and borrowing markets, and plans to add a neobank layer within the next three months. The neobank will include fiat on/off ramps, global transfers, on-chain IBAN access, Visa debit cards, and yield-bearing accounts. Bond Labs CEO Taweh Beysolow stated that the vision of AI agents managing finances has been held back by fragmented infrastructure, with Bond providing the missing layer of DeFi primitives and a neobank where agents can trade, borrow, spend, and earn within a single platform.
The launch comes with substantial ecosystem support from 0G Labs, including a $10 million incentive programme, $3.5 million direct investment, and a $50 million TVL target. As reported by CoinDesk, the incentive programme will run over 12 months and be tracked on-chain, with AI-agent trades included in the rewards structure. Bond has also secured partnerships with Turtle for liquidity and incentive distribution, Re7 as a DeFi vault curator, Midas for vault infrastructure, and Wormhole for cross-chain interoperability. Liquidity providers include Cicada Capital, Diffuse, GSR, and Flow Traders. CEO Michael Heinrich of 0G Labs framed Bond as part of building foundational infrastructure for an AI-native economy, noting it's the first platform to fully realize combining institutional-grade DeFi with user-friendly neobank functionality.
The launch addresses growing AI adoption in finance, with 52% of financial firms actively adopting agentic AI and 23% already scaling or transforming around it, according to Cambridge Judge Business School findings. According to Deloitte's 2026 enterprise AI survey, 74% of companies expect to use AI agents at least moderately by 2027. However, regulators are increasingly concerned about AI's financial applications, with the Financial Stability Board warning that AI is spreading across AML, KYC, fraud detection, credit risk, and compliance. The Bank of England has gone further, warning that autonomous agents could eventually transact for consumers, execute trading strategies, and amplify market volatility if many systems behave similarly.
Bond's DeFi layer includes a spot DEX based on Uniswap V3-style automated market-making and a perpetual DEX using central limit order book model, with lending markets featuring dynamic interest rates. The company has implemented security measures including smart contract audits by Hashlock. As reported by CoinDesk, Turtle Club's CEO Essi noted that Bond is building a superapp for an audience spanning retail and institutional participants, requiring DeFi-native LPs who could underwrite both ends. The platform addresses the need for AI agents to have financial infrastructure beyond simple prompts, requiring liquidity, execution venues, credit markets, identity checks, payment access, and risk controls to function as economic actors. By bridging decentralised protocols directly with traditional global payment rails, the deployment establishes a functional operating system that accelerates the evolution of digital assistants into self-sovereign economic entities capable of driving commerce.
