BNB Chain has disclosed the launch of a new Layer 1 blockchain designed specifically for AI agent trading, marking a significant advancement in the network's technical capabilities. The new chain will be launched alongside BNB Smart Chain, opBNB, and Greenfield, with the goal to bring on-chain trading closer to the speed and efficiency of centralized exchanges while still allowing self-custody of assets. The BNB Agent Studio and SDK have already been launched and work with tools like AWS Bedrock, with BNB Chain now allowing developers to plug agents into CoinMarketCap's data endpoints with one click using @Binance Pay's B402 merchant pool. The network will achieve transaction confirmation times under 50 milliseconds and block finalization times under one second, with the testnet planned to launch by the end of 2026 and mainnet release planned for early 2027. A key component of the architecture will be TxStream, which removes the traditional public mempool and introduces a transaction transmission mechanism called TxStream. According to AMBCrypto, this approach sends transactions directly to block producers to shorten the transmission path and reduce latency. BNB Chain believes this approach can also reduce certain MEV extraction activities, particularly common practices such as sandwich attacks. In the design, block leaders change every 200 milliseconds, which is not enough time for a validator to build a sustainable business model around abusing its position. The transaction order is fixed before other participants learn about the operation itself. To address concerns about validator behavior, the team plans rapid leader rotation every 200 milliseconds, which makes validator behavior publicly verifiable, with violations putting their stake and reputation at risk. Additionally, the roadmap introduces PriorityLane, which reserves transaction capacity for critical operations such as oracle price updates, liquidations, and cross-chain bridge transfers, helping maintain network reliability during periods of congestion.
