According to official announcements, Binance Futures will sequentially list USDT-margined perpetual contracts for PATH, AMC, CYPH, ANET, HUT, APLD, and AGPU starting at 17:00 on September 18. The exchange has significantly expanded its TradFi perpetual offerings beyond the initial USDBRLUSDT contract, now providing 24/7 trading and Multi-Asset mode across seven major tech and entertainment stocks. These new contracts support up to 20x leverage and feature the same capped funding rates of +0.375%/-0.375% with settlement every 8 hours as the original USDBRLUSDT contract. The expansion demonstrates Binance's commitment to building a comprehensive TradFi perpetuals ecosystem beyond the initial Brazilian real contract.
As reported by Binance, the exchange has designed a dual pricing system to keep the USDBRLUSDT contract operating during weekend closures. During standard foreign exchange hours, the contract's index price will draw on a weighted group of third-party market data providers to track the underlying USD/BRL exchange rate. Once regular FX markets close for weekends or public holidays, Binance will switch to a mechanism derived from its own orderbook using an exponentially weighted moving average that calculates prices during those periods. This orderbook pricing means weekend contract prices could be shaped by activity solely on the Binance venue while underlying institutional currency markets are closed, as highlighted by Binance in their latest announcement. The system includes multi-source indices, mark price mechanisms, and deviation constraints to reduce dislocation risk during weekend trading periods. The mechanism operates during Friday 17:00 (ET) to Sunday 17:00 (ET), transitioning from Standard mode (updated every second as weighted average of third-party data vendors) to Orderbook EWMA mode when traditional FX liquidity is thinner.
According to Binance Research, by April 2026, Binance's gold perpetuals were exhibiting institutional-grade weekend price discovery, with weekend price movements correctly predicting the direction of Monday's opening gap approximately 89% of the time. The performance metrics have been refined to show that weekend price movements correlate approximately 0.80 to Monday's futures gap, explaining approximately 66% of its variance (R² ≈ 0.66), capturing a median 57% of the Friday-close to Monday-open adjustment. In mid-September, Binance's equity perps linked to AI and semiconductors became the primary live market for investors to express views before Wall Street reopened, capturing approximately 53% of combined weekend volume across five major venues for the most directly linked pre-IPO AI-linked contracts and approximately 59% for the most exposed semiconductor contracts, leading the second-ranked venue by roughly 3-4× in both cases. TradFi perpetuals feature no expiry dates and no need for contract rollovers, with consistent fee and margin mechanics across all contract types. Traders can express views on FX, commodities, and equities markets, hedge related exposures, and diversify strategies using USDT as a single settlement currency.
According to the announcement, global over-the-counter FX trading averaged $9.6 trillion per day in April 2025, up 28% from $7.5 trillion in April 2022, making foreign exchange the world's largest financial market by turnover. Bybit introduced 24/7 perpetual contracts tracking EUR/USD, GBP/USD and USD/JPY less than two weeks before Binance's announcement, offering maximum leverage of 100x. Kraken entered the segment earlier, launching FX perpetuals in April 2025 with leverage capped at 50x, reporting $5.7 billion in spot foreign exchange volume during the first part of 2025. The products give crypto traders exposure to currency moves without holding the underlying currencies, targeting a market of far larger scale than digital assets. Binance is a leading global blockchain ecosystem trusted by more than 300 million people in 100+ countries for its industry-leading security, transparency, and trading engine speed.
When trading goes live, FX Perpetual Futures under the "TradFi" category will be available on Binance Futures via web, app, and API. Users can navigate to the "TradFi" tab under the symbol search bar to explore the new contracts and related TradFi perpetual offerings. The TradFi asset-name search function on the Futures trading page in the app will be progressively rolled out to users. As reported by Binance, access will depend on Binance's regional restrictions and account requirements, with users advised to review local rules before trading. The exchange's standard futures risk controls and eligibility conditions will apply to the new product. Binance.com does not serve U.S. users, while the separate Binance.US platform does not offer the same global futures lineup. The November 2023 CFTC settlement required Binance to pay $1.35 billion in disgorgement and a $1.35 billion civil monetary penalty, with the agency citing allegations that Binance had offered leveraged retail commodity transactions to U.S. customers without required registration.
