Bitcoin ETFs posted their best monthly performance of 2026 with over $3.5 billion in net inflows in August, according to SoSoValue data reported by CoinTelegraph. This represents a dramatic increase from just $172 million in July, as Bitcoin rebounded after briefly dipping below $60,000 per token. Bitcoin has rebounded to around $77,250 per token following President Trump's election victory, which made him the first President to be a strong advocate for crypto, implementing executive orders including the creation of a U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. The cryptocurrency posted its highest monthly gain of ~25% since November 2024, with analysts predicting the crypto winter may indeed be over despite the volatile nature of digital assets.
B HODL stock has climbed 67% in a month following the company's strategic Bitcoin acquisition. According to reports, the company announced purchasing 1 BTC on Thursday, bringing its total treasury to 167.487 BTC. The stock trades on the Aquis Stock Exchange, a small London venue for growth companies, and has significantly outperformed Bitcoin's monthly gains of 25%. The rally occurred before the Bitcoin acquisition news, with HODL closing Wednesday at 8.84p, up 4% on the day, after an 11.11% jump on Tuesday.
The company funded the Bitcoin purchase through its second at-the-market (ATM) equity programme, raising approximately £48,300 (₹65,000) by selling 600,000 shares at an average 8.06 pence. As reported, the Capital Deployment Programme covered the remaining costs. The company paid £57,680 (₹77,772) for the Bitcoin, with its average cost basis sitting near ₹110,129 per Bitcoin, resulting in a treasury that remains roughly 29% underwater. This funding strategy mirrors the broader Bitcoin ETF inflows, suggesting institutional and retail investors are increasingly comfortable with Bitcoin exposure.
Sats per share climbed to 120.16 from 117.77 at the end of April, a significant improvement that matters because dilution only benefits shareholders when each share ends up holding more Bitcoin. According to reports, ATM 2 delivered roughly 135 sats for each new share, comfortably above the 120.16 average, ensuring holders own more Bitcoin per share rather than less. The company's ATM 3 programme opens on about September 8 with the same dilution test attached. This improvement aligns with the broader Bitcoin ETF performance, suggesting institutional and retail investors are increasingly valuing Bitcoin holdings per share.
The rally reflects broader institutional confidence in Bitcoin, with the cryptocurrency showing correlation with Gold since the Iran war began. As reported, the mechanism mirrors MicroStrategy's approach, though the scale differs wildly from MicroStrategy's billion-dollar raises. Adam Back, Blockstream chief executive, endorsed the approach and also backed European treasury vehicles, funding a Capital B raise worth €7.6 million on Wednesday. MicroStrategy still holds the benchmark with 845,050 Bitcoin according to Michael Saylor's claims. The Bitcoin ETF surge suggests institutional and retail investors are positioning for potential long-term Bitcoin appreciation, with analysts predicting the crypto winter may indeed be over despite the volatile nature of digital assets.
