American Bitcoin Corp. (Nasdaq: ABTC) has completed the deployment of approximately 11,298 newly purchased ASIC miners, pushing its total self-owned hash rate to about 28.1 exahashes per second. According to the company's official announcement, the additional machines were energized at the company's Drumheller site in Alberta, Canada. The expansion represents a 12% boost in capacity, adding approximately 3.05 EH/s at 13.5 joules per terahash, with the full owned fleet now comprising 89,242 miners. As reported by PR Newswire, the miners, which were purchased earlier this year, are now fully deployed and contributing to the company's operational fleet.
Following the latest energization, American Bitcoin's operational fleet now consists of approximately 58,999 miners representing 25.0 EH/s at an average efficiency of roughly 14.1 joules per terahash. The company's total owned fleet, including yet-to-be-deployed units, sits at 28.1 EH/s with an average efficiency of approximately 16.0 joules per terahash. According to PR Newswire, the operational fleet represents the total number of Bitcoin miners and aggregate hashrate currently operational and energized at the company's operating sites. Industry data from Finviz indicates that the largest listed miners currently operate in the 50 EH/s range, making American Bitcoin roughly half the size of industry leaders.
American Bitcoin frames this expansion as an extension of its deliberate "Bitcoin accumulator" strategy. The company noted in its capacity announcement that in the fourth quarter of 2025, it mined BTC at a cost roughly 53% below the prevailing spot price. Eric Trump, the firm's chief strategy officer, emphasized that this approach "reinforces American Bitcoin's disciplined focus on maximizing Bitcoin accumulation at a structural advantage." As reported by PR Newswire, Trump stated that "Scaling hashrate is one of the ways we strengthen our position in Bitcoin. Bringing these miners online at Drumheller reflects exactly how we intend to lead: moving quickly, allocating capital with discipline, and growing our Bitcoin exposure efficiently at institutional scale." The company remains focused on its objective to continue growing Bitcoin holdings per share through disciplined mining operations.
The Trump family's mining vehicle is not dialing back post-halving but is pressing its advantage with 28.1 EH/s of owned capacity. The company's new tranche of hardware at 13.5 joules per terahash represents a more efficient operation. According to PR Newswire, Matt Prusak, President of American Bitcoin, noted that "This deployment reflects our operating model in practice, turning execution and efficiency gains into lower-cost Bitcoin accumulation for shareholders." Industry data suggests the build-out is meaningful but not yet dominant at the public-miner level, with rivals increasingly diverting capex into AI and high-performance computing, potentially leaving more room for American Bitcoin to grow its share of global hash rate. The company is betting that control of cheap, US-domiciled hash power will matter more in the next phase of Bitcoin's monetization than short-term share-price swings.
