According to reports from AMBCrypto, Akash Network has experienced a 17% price surge in 24 hours, driven by its AI infrastructure capabilities. The network's AI model, AkashML, built by Overclock Labs, has been outperforming other large language models on OpenRouter. This AI model has significantly increased trading activity on the network, with the team achieving a new all-time high of 6.58 billion tokens processed in the last 24 hours, reaching this milestone in less than two months after launch.
As reported by AMBCrypto, processing over 5 billion tokens per day has become the norm since the end of April. April alone processed almost 120 billion tokens. The founder of Akash Network, Greg Osuri, highlighted this achievement, noting that some users were using AKT to host on the network without being aware of it. He stated on X that it's incredible what can be achieved by abstracting away crypto rails.
According to data from Akashstats reported by AMBCrypto, the network showed 61 active providers with computing power rising by almost 1% during the day. Over 11.12K CPUs were operational, while GPUs available declined by 3.98%, reaching 217. Memory and storage also decreased at the time of press.
As reported by AMBCrypto, AKT broke out of a monthly consolidation in May following a flat moving average, rising above the 100 EMA and confirming with a retest around the $0.60 zone. After ranging between $0.60 and $0.65 for five days, the altcoin reached a 2026 high of about $0.79. Technical analysis suggests AKT could target $1 if bulls maintain current buying momentum, though the token showed signs of pausing between $0.75 and $0.80.
According to AMBCrypto, Forbes has named Akash Network alongside Render Network and Bittensor as core AI infrastructures powering decentralized computing. Forbes called these networks the layers that would eliminate the need for centralized cloud providers entirely. The increased trading volume and network activity have positioned Akash Network as a significant player in the AI infrastructure space, with the network's AI model continuing to drive both performance and investor interest.
