Revolut transferred more than $6.44 million worth of AAVE from its cold wallets to Coinbase within a single day, marking a significant shift from the exchange's previous pattern of selling through hot wallets. According to AMBCrypto, this transfer alone did not trigger an immediate breakdown in price structure, instead testing the market's ability to absorb large transactions. The scale of the deposits still attracted attention because cold wallet transfers often signal a stronger intention to move assets toward exchanges, reviving concerns over fresh exchange-bound supply. However, traders continued evaluating whether the movement represented profit-taking or routine treasury management, with buyers ultimately absorbing the available AAVE liquidity.
As reported by AMBCrypto, AAVE traded at $98.21, having repeatedly respected its rising trendline from the June lows and challenging the $100 resistance area without producing a decisive breakout. The token had consolidated beneath $100 after recovering from its June lows, forming an ascending triangle pattern. AAVE was trading above its 20-day, 50-day, and 100-day Exponential Moving Averages, which stood near $92.27, $91.76, and $88.46 respectively. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) printed 58.01, remaining comfortably above the neutral 50 level and reflecting healthy buying strength without entering overbought territory. The RSI moving average also stood at 55.49, supporting the broader recovery structure. Price continued forming higher lows along the ascending trendline, showing buyers consistently defended pullbacks instead of surrendering control.
Derivatives traders maintained a constructive outlook throughout the session, with OI-Weighted Funding Rates staying positive at 0.0045%, showing that long-position holders continued paying a premium to maintain their exposure. According to AMBCrypto, this reading suggested bullish positioning remained dominant instead of shifting toward defensive short exposure. Although funding fluctuated during previous weeks, the latest reading confirmed that leveraged traders still favored higher prices, with the premium remaining relatively modest, reducing concerns that the Futures market had become excessively overheated. The combination of positive funding and resilient spot demand reinforced the broader bullish narrative despite renewed selling concerns, with leveraged participants potentially continuing to support AAVE's recovery rather than accelerating downside volatility.
Several well-known crypto analysts are focusing on the same breakout levels despite having different upside targets. Michaël van de Poppe recently said AAVE appears "primed for a strong breakout upwards," pointing to the formation of consistent higher lows beneath resistance. According to his analysis, continued demand below resistance increases the probability of an upside move, with $125 serving as his next major target if the breakout is confirmed. Crypto Patel maintains a bullish outlook, believing AAVE continues to respect a higher-timeframe bull flag that developed after the token rebounded from channel support near $88. The pattern would only be confirmed after a decisive breakout above $100, with the measured move from the bull flag projecting a potential advance toward $141. However, Patel also notes that failure to reclaim $100 could send the token back toward the $90 demand zone before the next major move develops.
