ZF Steering Gear (India) announced that DriveSys Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary, has successfully commenced commercial production at its electrical division located at Nagapur, Ahilyanagar District, Maharashtra. According to reports from Business Standard, this marks a significant expansion into electrical components manufacturing for the automotive steering systems company.
The newly operational electrical division will manufacture moulded case circuit breaker (MCB/MCCB), residential current circuit breaker (RCB) and electrical coils. As reported by Business Standard, the facility has substantial production capabilities with 12,00,000 MCBs per month, 40,000 RCBs per month, and 1,50,000 electrical coils per month. This represents a significant addition to the company's manufacturing footprint.
ZF Steering Gear (India) is engaged in the business of production and assembling of steering systems for vehicles, buses and tractors. According to Business Standard, this expansion into electrical components manufacturing diversifies the company's product portfolio beyond its core steering systems business.
The company reported strong financial results for Q1 FY27, with consolidated net profit rising 59.7% to ₹11.42 crore and total income from operations increasing 14.1% to ₹157.85 crore compared to Q1 FY26. As reported by Business Standard, this growth demonstrates the company's operational strength and market position in the automotive components sector.
Despite the positive operational developments, ZF Steering Gear (India) shares declined 0.61% to close at ₹663 on the BSE today, according to Business Standard. The market reaction suggests investor focus remains on operational performance rather than the new production facility announcement.
