
Trent Ltd. shares have surged nearly 4% on Tuesday as investors await the company's Q4FY26 results announcement on April 22. According to Upstox, the Tata-Group company is expected to report double-digit revenue growth driven by aggressive store expansion and robust demand. The stock closed 3.4% higher at ₹4,390 on April 21, with shares showing a smart recovery in April rising over 33% after the Q4 business update and bonus share announcement. The company has witnessed a sharp reversal from the ₹3,300–₹3,400 zone, forming a strong V-shaped recovery and reclaiming both the 20 and 50 EMA, signalling a clear shift in short-term momentum. The stock is now approaching a critical resistance near ₹4,450, which aligns with the falling 200 EMA, a key resistance zone.
The company is expected to report standalone revenue growth of 16-20% YoY to ₹4,790-₹4,950 crore for Q4FY26, compared to ₹4,106 crore in Q4FY25. As per Upstox, the company registered revenue of ₹5,259 crore in the previous quarter. Net profit could rise by 8% to 12% YoY to ₹380-₹385 crore, though it could decline on a quarterly basis from ₹640 crore in the previous quarter. During its Q4 business update, Trent reported standalone revenue growth of 20% YoY to ₹4,937 crore with the total store count at 1,286 stores (300 Westside, 963 Zudio and 23 stores across other lifestyle concepts). The company added 109 Zudio stores and 22 Westside stores in Q4, taking its total retail footprint to 1,286 stores.
Investors will look forward to key performance metrics like same-store sales growth, EBITDA margins and management commentary on future growth estimates and overall demand outlook. As per Upstox, investors will also focus on the bonus share issuance and final dividend announcement. The bonus share issuance proposal will require shareholder approval, as will the dividend issuance proposal, which has historically paid ₹13 per share over the last five years. The board meeting agenda represents a compelling suite of shareholder-friendly announcements that the market is clearly front-running with considerable conviction. The options market pricing in a potential move of around ±5.3% in Trent ahead of the 28 April expiry, with traders considering long straddle strategies if expecting sharp moves beyond the implied range.
The stock has demonstrated exceptional technical strength, with the sharp reversal from the ₹3,300–₹3,400 zone forming a strong V-shaped recovery and reclaiming both the 20 and 50 EMA. However, RSI is above 70, indicating overbought conditions in the near term, which raises the possibility of some consolidation or pullback. The order book reflects strong market interest with 54.39% buy interest amounting to 1,17,774 shares against 45.61% sell interest of 98,779 shares, indicating healthy two-sided participation. Immediate support is placed around ₹3,720, and as long as the stock holds above this level, the bullish bias remains intact. A decisive breakout and close above the ₹4,450 resistance level could trigger further upside, while traders expecting increased volatility around the earnings event can consider volatility-based strategies.
