Tata Consultancy Services has categorically denied receiving any internal complaints related to the ongoing allegations at its Nashik unit. According to the company's latest statement, "a preliminary review of the systems and records pertaining to the Nashik unit indicates that we have not received any complaints of the nature that are being alleged on either our ethics or POSH channels." The company emphasized that detailed reviews remain ongoing and that preliminary findings are subject to further examination. TCS reiterated its commitment to maintaining high standards when it comes to employee welfare and organizational conduct, stating "TCS holds itself to the highest standards of employee welfare and institutional conduct. We remain fully committed to the safety, dignity, and well-being of every employee."
TCS has established a robust three-part institutional response to address the ongoing allegations. The company has engaged Deloitte and law firm Trilegal as independent counsel to assist the internal investigation, which is being led by Aarthi Subramanian, President and Chief Operating Officer of TCS. Additionally, an oversight committee has been constituted, chaired by Keki Mistry, a finance industry veteran and independent director on the TCS board, to review findings and implement recommendations. The investigation's findings will be presented to the oversight committee for review and implementation of any recommendations. As per the company's statement, "the findings of the internal probe will be submitted to this committee. The panel will review the report and oversee the implementation of any recommendations."
Tata Consultancy Services has moved to correct the record on one of the employees named in the ongoing case at its Nashik unit. According to the company's latest clarification, Nida Khan, repeatedly identified in media reports as an HR manager at the company, holds no such designation. The company stated that "Ms. Nida Khan who is being repeatedly mentioned in the press as HR manager of TCS, is neither a HR manager nor responsible for recruitment. She served as a process associate and did not hold any leadership responsibilities." This clarification comes as part of the company's broader effort to address misinformation surrounding the case.
TCS has addressed reports that the Nashik facility had ceased operations, stating that "our unit in Nashik continues to operate and serve our clients. Reports in the press about the unit being shut down are absolutely untrue." The company reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining operations while cooperating fully with law enforcement agencies and reiterating its "zero tolerance" approach towards misconduct. TCS added that "while detailed reviews are ongoing, a preliminary examination of systems and records has not revealed any complaints of the alleged nature through its ethics or POSH channels." The company emphasized that it follows a zero-tolerance approach towards any form of coercion or misconduct and stated that its focus remains on supporting employees and ensuring a safe and respectful working environment across all its locations.
Separately, according to Live Mint reports, a Nashik Crime Branch team traveled to Mumbra in Thane district on Friday to locate a woman accused in the case. The accused is believed to have shifted base to Mumbra approximately two months ago. Officers questioned her husband at his residence, who told police she had gone to a relative's house. When investigators reached that address, it was found locked, and mobile phones of both the accused and the relative were switched off. A police officer indicated that "the investigative team is following specific leads in Mumbra. We have information that the accused had shifted her base to evade arrest."
