Supriya Lifescience reported a 31% decline in standalone net profit to ₹240.43 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, compared to ₹34.79 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. According to latest reports, this profit decline occurred despite the company achieving strong revenue growth during the same period, with revenue from operations growing 31% year-on-year to ₹189 crore from ₹145 crore in Q1 FY26. The company's total income for Q1 FY2027 reached ₹1,923.95 million, as approved by the Board of Directors.
The company faced significant operational challenges during the quarter, with capacity utilization declining to 70% from 74% in FY26 and 70% in FY25. As reported by ETPharma, EBITDA contracted 8% year-on-year to ₹47 crore as operating margins declined by 1000 basis points to 25%. These operational struggles contributed to the overall decline in profitability despite the strong revenue performance, indicating potential efficiency challenges in the business operations.
Despite operational challenges, Supriya Lifescience has made significant strategic progress in expanding its capabilities. The company has commissioned its finished dosage manufacturing capabilities at its Ambernath facility, covering tablets, capsules, liquids, nasal, inhalation and injections. According to ETPharma, validation and registration batches are underway for dossier submissions. In FY27, the company plans to launch four new products, with two each in the anaesthetic and ADHD therapeutic segments. The company has also established two R&D centres in Maharashtra — Ambernath and Lote — to sustain a four-product launch run rate.
Dr. Satish Wagh, Executive Chairman and Whole-Time Director, commented on the results, stating that "Q1 FY27 reflects continued momentum in our core business, supported by strong revenue growth and a diversified presence across global markets. Our focus remains on expanding our product portfolio, and scaling new products across key therapeutic segments." As reported by ETPharma, the management emphasized the company's commitment to diversifying its product portfolio and scaling new products across key therapeutic segments, indicating confidence in future growth prospects despite current operational challenges.
