
Sudarshan Pharma shares surged to ₹23.10, hitting the 10% upper circuit on Thursday, February 5, despite broader market weakness. According to latest reports, the Sensex ended with a loss of 504 points, or 0.60%, at 83,313.93, while the Nifty 50 closed at 25,642.80, down 133 points, or 0.52%. The BSE 150 MidCap Index dropped by 0.43%, while the BSE 250 SmallCap Index declined by 0.81%. This marked the second straight session of upper circuit and the third straight session of gains for the small-cap stock, with the scrip advancing over 17% in three sessions.
The company delivered robust financial results for Q3FY26, with net sales rising 16% year-on-year to ₹168.01 crore compared with Q3FY25. As reported by Live Mint, net profit for the quarter stood at ₹4.36 crore, marking a 51% increase over the same period last year. For the nine-month period of FY26, net sales climbed 40% to ₹482.14 crore, while net profit advanced 67% to ₹12.58 crore compared with 9MFY25. Looking at full-year performance, the company reported net sales of ₹505 crore in FY25, reflecting 9% growth over FY24, with net profit rising 45% to ₹16 crore.
The company strengthened its international presence through the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary, Sudarshan Pharma Company Poland Limited Liability, based in Warsaw. According to Live Mint, after receiving board approval in February 2025, the company invested PLN 5,000 to acquire a 100% stake in the entity. The newly formed subsidiary will focus on the manufacture of chemicals, fertilisers, and plastics, along with the wholesale distribution of pharmaceutical products, supporting the parent company's expansion in European markets.
Despite the recent surge, the pharma stock has faced significant pressure in the longer term. As reported by Live Mint, the stock has tumbled over 40% in the last 1 year, 24% in the past 6 months, 19% in the last 3 months, and 12% in the past 1 month. The company is engaged in manufacturing of APIs, jobwork manufacturing in pharmaceuticals, and trading in chemicals and solvents in India, focusing on speciality chemicals business.
