Sudarshan Chemical Industries has inaugurated its second global head office at the Hillsite Office Building in Schwalbach am Taunus, near Frankfurt, Germany on June 9, 2026. According to reports from Business Standard, this expansion represents a significant milestone in the company's growth journey following its acquisition of the Heubach Group in March 2025. The new facility serves as the company's second global head office, alongside its existing global head office in Pune, India. This strategic move is not merely a real estate expansion but a fundamental shift in Sudarshan's corporate identity, signaling its intent to compete directly with European giants like BASF and DIC on their home turf.
The new office spans nearly 21,000 square feet and is located approximately 11 km from Sudarshan's production site at the Industriepark Höchst. As reported by Business Standard, the open-plan space is designed to foster collaboration and integration across the company's unified global operations. The office space is leased under Sudarshan Germany Horizons GmbH, the company's German operating entity. Dr. Klaus-Dieter Baumgart, Chief Technology Officer of Sudarshan Chemical Industries Limited and Managing Director of Sudarshan Germany Horizons GmbH, emphasized Frankfurt's centrality to global operations, expressing pride in leading German operations from the new facility.
According to Business Standard, this expansion comes as a direct result of Sudarshan's acquisition of the Heubach Group in March 2025, marking a significant milestone in the company's growth journey. Rajesh Rathi, Global Chairman and Managing Director of Sudarshan, stated that the Frankfurt Hillsite Office signals the importance of Germany and Europe to the company's global ambitions. The establishment of this second global head office in Frankfurt positions the company to better serve its European operations and strengthen its international presence in the chemical industry. The company operates with a combined heritage of over 270 years in pigment manufacturing, serving customers across coatings, plastics, inks, and cosmetics with a portfolio of organic, inorganic, and pearlescent pigments. The move is expected to improve supply chain efficiency and drive market share towards 35% in specialized pigments, with the shift toward High-Performance Pigments (HPP) expected to provide a 200-300 bps uplift in consolidated margins over the next 18 months.
With the new Frankfurt office operational, Sudarshan Chemical Industries has significantly expanded its global footprint. The company currently operates in more than 120 countries with 19 manufacturing sites and serves over 4,000 global customers.
