Sudarshan Switzerland SLO AG, a step-down wholly-owned subsidiary of Sudarshan Chemical Industries, has signed a definitive Asset Sale and Transfer Agreement with Clariant Additives (Switzerland) AG on 24 August 2026. According to reports from Business Standard, the agreement involves acquiring the aluminium dyes and chemicals manufacturing plant located in Muttenz, Switzerland for CHF 7 million plus inventory. This strategic move converts the existing supply relationship into direct ownership of the manufacturing facility.
The Muttenz plant has been manufacturing Sudarshan Chemical Group's aluminium dyes portfolio for years, as reported by Business Standard. The facility produces the Sanodal, Sanodure, Sanodye, and Anodal brands, which are colorants specifically used to color anodized aluminium surfaces. These aluminium dyes provide color and durability to finished surfaces in automotive and consumer electronics components, packaging and industrial parts. The acquisition will strengthen Sudarshan Chemical Group's global manufacturing footprint in this specialized segment.
According to Business Standard, Sudarshan Chemical Group covers the aluminium dyes segment worldwide in cooperation with its trusted regional partners. The acquisition of the Swiss manufacturing facility will enhance the group's ability to serve international markets more effectively, particularly in the automotive and electronics sectors where anodized aluminium components are widely used. This strategic move positions the company to better serve its global customer base through direct control of manufacturing operations, securing direct ownership of an established production asset and key branded portfolio.
Sudarshan Chemical Industries reported strong financial results for Q1 FY27, with consolidated net profit surging 106.14% to ₹97.30 crore in the quarter ended June 2026, compared to ₹47.20 crore in the previous quarter ended June 2025. As per Business Standard, sales rose 5.39% to ₹2,642.10 crore in Q1 FY27 over Q1 FY26. The company's stock was trading at ₹1,230.05 on the BSE, declining 0.59% following the acquisition announcement.
