
According to reports from The Economic Times, Spencer's Retail Ltd reported a widening of consolidated net loss to ₹58.4 crore in the December quarter of FY26. The company had posted a net loss of ₹47.34 crore in the October-December period of the previous year. Revenue from operations declined 2.71% to ₹502.86 crore in the December quarter, compared to ₹516.97 crore in the year-ago period, as reported in the regulatory filing.
As reported by The Economic Times, the company attributed the revenue decline to the split festive season between September (Q2) and October (Q3). Total expenses were at ₹562.58 crore in the December quarter, which was marginally down on a year-on-year basis. Total income, including other income, decreased 3% to ₹504.18 crore in the latest December quarter.
According to a separate filing reported by The Economic Times, Spencer's Retail announced that its board has approved the re-appointment of Anuj Singh as the Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director (CEO & MD) for another three years from March 22, 2026, subject to the approval of members of the company. This leadership continuity decision comes amid the challenging financial performance.
As reported by The Economic Times, Spencer's Retail shares settled at ₹38.55 apiece on the BSE, down 3.12% from the previous close on Friday. The stock movement reflects investor concerns over the widening losses and declining revenue performance in the December quarter.
