Silver Touch Technologies shares gained 2.34% to ₹151 following the announcement of the ISRO contract receipt. The stock movement reflects positive market sentiment toward the company's entry into the mission-critical space and defence sector. The regulatory filing made on Saturday confirmed the receipt of the purchase order from the Space Applications Centre (SAC), part of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space, Government of India, Ahmedabad.
Silver Touch Technologies has secured a significant purchase order from the Space Applications Centre (SAC), part of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space, Government of India, Ahmedabad. According to reports from Business Standard, the contract involves the supply, installation and support of High-End Workstations for ISRO's scientific operations. The purchase order was issued on 26 September 2026 and provides an execution period of about 18 weeks, with the company required to complete delivery and installation by 2 February 2027. The order was reserved under the Government's local supplier framework, aligning with the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives and demonstrating the company's capability to meet stringent technical requirements for elite scientific institutions.
The workstations ordered by ISRO represent some of the most powerful single-node systems available in the market. As reported by Business Standard, these systems are equipped with 60-core Intel Xeon processors, 512 GB memory, and NVIDIA Blackwell-class GPUs with 96 GB memory. These specifications enable the workstations to handle compute-intensive scientific workloads including AI/ML applications, large-scale data processing, simulation and visualisation. The order confirms that Silver Touch Technologies met SAC's technical procurement requirements for specialised computing infrastructure, with successful qualification under stringent, open-tender technical requirements allowing the company to establish a strong pedigree with the Department of Space.
This contract award represents a meaningful step in the Company's stated focus on the Space and Defence sector, marking entry into a mission-critical institution. SAC is ISRO's principal centre for the design of space-borne payloads and for satellite-based applications, making this qualification particularly significant for Silver Touch Technologies. Qualifying as a supplier to SAC through an open, competitive and technically stringent tender establishes the company's credentials with the Department of Space. The order was reserved for Class I / Class II Local Suppliers, reflecting the company's participation in the Government's Make in India procurement framework for strategic sectors. This technical validation could translate into higher-margin defence and aerospace system integration opportunities, aligning perfectly with the company's strategy to move up the value chain from basic IT services to high-performance platform solutions.
The SAC order adds to Silver Touch Technologies' recent portfolio of public-sector technology work. During September 2026, the company secured recent orders from Gujarat Energy Limited valued at ₹5.06 crore for a three-year IT infrastructure services assignment and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited valued at ₹5.12 crore for IT support. Earlier in July 2026, the company also secured a RITES Limited contract to develop PARAKH, an AI-based project-appraisal and intelligence platform. The company's overall order book stands at over ₹800 crore, providing strong long-term revenue visibility. In Q1 FY27, Silver Touch Technologies reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹76.72 crore and profit after tax of ₹9.99 crore, with consolidated profit after tax surging 147.28% YoY and revenue increasing 22.26% YoY. The company's EBITDA margins expanded by 782 basis points YoY to 22.22%.
