Silver Touch Technologies shares rallied 4.69% to ₹189.55 following the announcement of a significant artificial intelligence project win. According to reports from Business Standard, the stock surge came after the company secured an order from RITES to develop an AI-based detailed project report (DPR) appraisal platform. In contrast, RITES shares declined 3.42% to ₹227.60 on the BSE following the contract announcement. As of July 8, 2026, the stock is trading at ₹187.9 with a market capitalization of ₹2,382.80 crore. The stock has achieved a remarkable 146.85% return over the past year, though it declined 2.25% in the last month.
The contract is valued at ₹6.27 crore and involves designing and deploying an AI-native platform specifically for appraising Detailed Project Reports rather than conventional software applications with AI features layered on top. As reported by Business Standard, the platform is intended to transform the way RITES evaluates infrastructure project reports. The solution will serve as the AI engine for RITES to appraise major infrastructure projects across railways, highways, bridges, ports, airports, metro systems and tunnels.
The platform will feature three self-hosted large language models (Llama 3.1 70B, Mistral 7B and Qwen 2.5 7B) running on NVIDIA A100 GPU infrastructure within RITES' secure data centre. According to the company statement reported by Business Standard, this ensures that project data remains within the organization's environment with no external data transfer. The solution will also integrate hybrid Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) combining semantic vector search with keyword search across more than 1,000 historical DPRs for grounded, citation-backed appraisal.
The platform will include GIS integration with the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan, BIM/IFC interoperability, geospatial analytics, and an intelligent document processing pipeline. As reported by Business Standard, this pipeline is capable of analysing DPRs ranging from 500 to 5,000 pages using OCR, table extraction and engineering entity recognition. The solution is designed to handle major infrastructure projects across multiple sectors including railways, highways, bridges, ports, airports, metro systems and tunnels.
