The board of Share India Securities at its meeting held on 21 September 2026 has approved the proposal for incorporation of a new subsidiary. According to reports from Business Standard, the board has authorized the incorporation under such name as may be proposed by the Finance Committee and approved by the Registrar of Companies (proposed subsidiary).
The board has approved an investment of up to ₹120 crore in the equity shares of the proposed subsidiary. As reported by Business Standard, this substantial investment commitment demonstrates the company's strategic expansion plans through the new subsidiary structure.
The approval process involves multiple regulatory steps, with the Finance Committee responsible for proposing the subsidiary name and the Registrar of Companies required to approve the final name. According to the reports, this structured approach ensures proper corporate governance and regulatory compliance for the new subsidiary establishment.
This subsidiary investment comes as Share India Securities navigates challenging financial conditions, with the company reporting nil operating revenue in the June quarter and a loss of ₹5.76 crore. The company's accumulated losses stood at ₹196.54 crore at the end of the June quarter, while borrowings were ₹141.26 crore at the end of March. The substantial investment in the new subsidiary structure appears part of the company's strategic restructuring efforts to address these financial challenges.
