Servotech Renewable Power Systems Ltd. has officially entered the competitive electric three-wheeler (E-3W) market, unveiling its dedicated battery and charging solutions at its annual SUNKALP event. As part of the expansion, the company introduced SULTAN, a lithium-ion battery developed specifically for electric three-wheelers, and Zest, a charger designed for use with three-wheeler batteries. According to the company's official announcement, these products are targeted at three-wheeler OEMs, dealers, and distributors, with the company expressing gratitude to EVreporter for covering this strategic development. According to the company's regulatory filing, this strategic move allows Servotech to capitalize on India's booming micro-mobility sector, driven by increasing last-mile delivery demands and urbanization. Raman Bhatia, Managing Director, highlighted that this expansion is a natural progression, leveraging Servotech's established expertise in solar and EV charging infrastructure.
The SULTAN lithium-ion battery is available in two configurations—51.2V/105Ah and 64V/105Ah—and is intended for use in e-rickshaws, e-autos, and e-cargo vehicles. As reported by EVreporter, the battery uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry, specifically engineered to offer a lighter form factor and improved payload capacity compared to traditional alternatives. The Zest charger is designed to support battery charging time and protection, optimizing uptime for commercial E-Rickshaw and E-Cargo operations. Additionally, Servotech introduced Voltie, a 2kW on-grid solar inverter designed for seamless grid integration in residential and small commercial applications. According to DSIJ Intelligence, by integrating high-performance power electronics with solar technology, the company is strengthening its end-to-end clean energy portfolio and delivering integrated energy solutions.
According to latest reports, India's electric three-wheeler segment has expanded in recent years due to urban transport needs, last-mile delivery demand, and policy support, emerging as one of the fastest-growing categories within electric mobility. Raman Bhatia, Managing Director, emphasized the market's immense potential, stating: "Our entry into the electric three-wheeler segment is a natural progression of Servotech's journey in clean energy. We have built strong leadership in solar and EV charging, and we are now excited to extend that expertise into lithium solutions for micro-mobility." The company plans to deepen its market presence with additional variants and models, with Bhatia noting: "While we've started off with two models of 3W Li-ion Batteries and one model of E-3W charger, we're planning to deepen our roots in the market with more variants and models arriving in the future. The electric three-wheeler market holds immense potential, not just for sustainable transport but for empowering small transport entrepreneurs across India." According to the company's recent announcement, this move reinforces Servotech's long-term vision of strengthening India's micro-mobility ecosystem.
