Sanathan Textiles Limited has successfully commenced commercial production from its expanded technical textiles yarn manufacturing capacity at its Silvassa facility. According to the company's latest update, this expansion represents a significant milestone for the company's technical textiles operations. The expansion has doubled the company's technical textiles yarn capacity from 9,000 MTPA to 18,000 MTPA, with the expanded capacity commissioned on the previously indicated timeline.
The expansion brings the total installed capacity across all three yarn verticals for both locations (Silvassa and Punjab) to 488,250 MTPA. As reported by the company, this comprehensive capacity enhancement positions Sanathan Textiles to serve a broader range of technical textiles applications across multiple manufacturing locations. The enhanced capacity reinforces the company's integrated manufacturing platform and strengthens its ability to meet growing demand in high-growth technical textile segments.
With applications spanning automotive, agriculture, defence, infrastructure, transport, sportswear, healthcare, and industrial safety, the scale-up is expected to strengthen the company's positioning in specialised, value-added yarns and support more diversified end-use markets for its stakeholders.
