
Saksoft shares fell 8.2% to hit an intraday low of ₹161.11 on Friday, August 7, following disappointing quarterly results. On a consolidated basis, the company's net profit declined 9.5% YoY to ₹29.29 crore in Q1 FY27, down from ₹32.35 crore in the same period last year, according to reports from CNBC TV18. Net sales remained largely flat sequentially at ₹248.62 crore, declining marginally 0.2% YoY from ₹249.07 crore. The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) came in 0.9% lower at ₹45.4 crore from ₹45.83 crore in Q1 last year. Margins also contracted marginally to 18.3% from 18.4% in the year-ago period.
Total expenses declined 0.7% YoY and 0.5% QoQ to ₹207.80 crore during the quarter. Employee benefit expenses increased 5.3% YoY to ₹127.79 crore, while support and third-party charges declined 7.1% YoY to ₹63.14 crore. Finance costs showed significant improvement, declining 54.5% YoY to ₹1.26 crore, as reported by Business Standard. Depreciation and amortisation expenses remained relatively stable, declining 0.2% YoY to ₹3.32 crore.
The BFS business segment reported revenue of ₹73.5 crore, declining from ₹73.8 crore in March and ₹77.3 crore last year. Logistics revenue demonstrated strong growth, increasing to ₹40 crore from ₹37 crore last quarter and ₹34 crore last year. Emerging Verticals revenue declined to ₹112 crore compared to ₹115.4 crore last quarter and ₹118 crore last year. Commerce revenue showed robust performance with ₹23.53 crore from ₹22.5 crore last quarter and ₹19.6 crore last year, as reported by CNBC TV18.
Despite strong financial fundamentals including a net-debt-free status and ROCE of 30.36%, Saksoft's investment rating has been downgraded from Hold to Sell as of July 2, 2026. The stock closed at ₹180.30 on the day of the downgrade, down from the previous close of ₹191.65, representing a 5.92% decline. Technical indicators have shifted from sideways to mildly bearish, with daily moving averages turning bearish and monthly MACD and KST indicators reflecting bearish momentum. The stock has consistently underperformed the BSE500, generating a -9.65% return over the past year compared to the benchmark's -7.08%. Over three years, Saksoft's stock has delivered a disappointing -26.87% return versus the benchmark's 19.75%.
