Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company Rubicon Research Ltd received one procedural US FDA Form 483 observation following an unannounced inspection of its manufacturing facility at J4/2, Additional MIDC, Satara - 415 004, Maharashtra, India from Monday, October 5 to Friday, October 9, 2026. According to reports from Can Fin Homes, the company stated that the observation is procedural in nature and does not relate to data integrity. Rubicon Research expressed confidence in working closely with the regulator to successfully conclude the evaluation in a timely manner.
As reported by Can Fin Homes, the Satara inspection represents the third successful unannounced US FDA inspection in financial year 2026-27, following inspections of the company's Toronto research and development facility in Canada in April 2026 and its Pithampur manufacturing facility in India in July 2026. The company's previous US FDA inspection at the Satara facility took place in January 2023, with prior intimation provided to the company. A successful outcome for the Satara facility would mark the first successful unannounced US FDA inspection of this site, building on the company's track record of regulatory compliance.
According to Can Fin Homes, the company's recently acquired manufacturing facility in East Brunswick, New Jersey, in the United States, was inspected by the US FDA in May 2026, just prior to the company acquiring the facility in July 2026. This inspection was completed before the facility became part of Rubicon Research's portfolio, demonstrating the company's commitment to regulatory compliance across all facilities.
