Reliance Industries announced that its board of directors will meet on October 30 to consider and approve its financial results for the September quarter and a proposal to raise funds through non-convertible debentures. According to an exchange filing dated October 27, the Mukesh Ambani-led conglomerate said the board would consider its standalone and consolidated unaudited financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026. The board will also consider raising funds through the issuance of listed, secured or unsecured, redeemable non-convertible debentures on a private placement basis, in one or more tranches. Following the board meeting, Reliance Industries will hold an analyst meet to discuss its financial performance for the September quarter and the first half of FY27.
The company did not disclose the proposed fundraising amount or other terms of the NCD issuance in the announcement. The proposed NCD fundraising will be undertaken in one or more tranches, subject to the board's consideration and approval. Reliance said it would hold an analyst meeting following the board meeting to discuss its quarterly financial performance. The proposed NCD fundraising will be another development to watch alongside the September-quarter earnings, as reported by The Economic Times.
In the first quarter of FY27, Reliance Industries reported gross revenue of ₹3,40,257 crore and EBITDA of ₹54,067 crore. The company's profit after tax (PAT) was ₹23,196 crore for the quarter. These updated figures provide additional context for the upcoming September quarter results, which will be announced on October 30.
The announcement comes as investors await the earnings performance of the company's key businesses, including oil-to-chemicals (O2C), telecom, retail and oil and gas, following a mixed set of results in the June quarter. According to The Economic Times, Reliance Industries reported a 22.4% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders to ₹20,946 crore for the June quarter, compared with ₹26,994 crore in the corresponding period last year. The decline was largely due to a high base in the year-ago quarter, which included a one-time gain of ₹8,924 crore from the sale of listed investments. Revenue from operations, however, increased 25% YoY to ₹3,11,850 crore from ₹2,48,660 crore. The oil-to-chemicals business reported a 30% rise in revenue, with segment EBITDA increasing 17.2% to ₹17,010 crore, while the digital services business delivered strong growth with Jio Platforms' EBITDA rising 15.1% to ₹20,865 crore, supported by higher subscriber additions and improved monetisation.
Reliance Industries shares closed at ₹1,196.20 on the NSE on Tuesday, October 27, down ₹5.60 or 0.47% from the previous close. The stock opened at ₹1,195. The company's 52-week high stands at ₹1,611.80, while its 52-week low is ₹1,152.20. The market movement reflects investor anticipation ahead of the Q2 results announcement, with the stock trading within its established range as investors position themselves for the upcoming earnings release.
