In a regulatory filing, the Chennai-based firm stated that it will implement its next-gen aviation software at the upcoming defence MRO facility of Tata Advanced Systems Ltd (TASL). As reported by Upstox, the new facility will specialise in Lockheed Martin's C130J Super Hercules aircraft maintenance for the Indian Air Force. Under the initiative, Ramco will deploy its integrated aviation MRO platform across TASL's operations, covering contract and quote management, maintenance planning, hangar and component maintenance, supply chain management, engineering and quality, along with customer billing. The agreement with TASL to deploy Ramco's aviation software at its new Bengaluru defence MRO facility marks a significant win, underscoring Ramco's capabilities in servicing complex aerospace operations.
According to the regulatory filing, the comprehensive digital foundation will be further strengthened by Ramco's advanced solutions, including anywhere mobile applications, e-publications, digital task cards and resource planning and optimisation tools. As reported by Upstox, TASL aims to adopt end-to-end digital processing of customer work packages and achieve a fully digital shopfloor supported by modern mobile applications and integrated OEM documentation management. The technology will serve as the backbone supporting these goals, bringing automation, standardisation, and clarity to operational workflows.
Ramco holds a notable 23.8% market share in the MRO software space and is well-positioned to capitalize on India's aerospace and defence sector expansion. The Indian Aerospace and Defence sector is forecast for substantial growth, with projections reaching $56.95 billion by 2034, growing at about 7.10% annually. This expansion is largely powered by government initiatives such as 'Make in India' and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat,' which aim to boost domestic production targets to ₹1.75 lakh crore by FY26 and ₹3 lakh crore by 2029. With approximately 60% of its revenue now recurring, Ramco anticipates a more predictable financial future, reinforcing analyst optimism for shareholder value creation.
Ramco has shown signs of financial recovery with net sales rising to ₹591.34 crore for the March 2025 period and operating profit improving to ₹81.17 crore. The company also reduced its debtor cycle from 78 to 57 days. Analysts maintain a 'Strong Buy' consensus rating with an average 12-month price target of ₹600.00, suggesting a potential upside of over 48%. Ramco's P/E ratio stands around 69.24, which is viewed as reasonable in this context, though below the industry average P/E of approximately 35.67. Despite operational improvements, the company still reported losses before and after tax for the March 2025 period, while a disputed Income Tax Assessment Order for AY 2023-24 remains a factor, though the company does not expect significant financial impact.
