Rainbow Children's Medicare delivered robust financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, with revenue increasing 25% year-on-year to ₹550 crore compared to ₹440 crore in the same quarter last year. According to latest reports, consolidated net profit grew 8.9% to ₹82 crore compared to ₹75.3 crore last year. The company's operating EBITDA expanded to ₹170 crore from ₹148 crore year-on-year, though EBITDA margin compressed by 246 basis points to 31.02% from 33.48% due to incremental operational costs associated with network scaling. The company attributed this growth to healthy patient volumes, improving hospital performance, and initiatives focused on digital engagement and community outreach.
The company has significantly expanded its presence in Coastal Andhra Pradesh with the commencement of operations at a newly acquired 70-bed hospital in Nellore and a new 50-bed hospital in Guntur. As reported by CNBC TV18, these additions extend Rainbow's network from Visakhapatnam to Chennai. The company also executed a lease agreement with APCRDA for the development of a Children's Hospital at Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, following the allotment of two acres of land by the Andhra Pradesh government and currently in the planning phase. The robust top-line expansion of 25% YoY demonstrates strong bed occupancy and patient volume growth across pediatric hubs, with the company sustaining operational scale despite margin compression during the gestation period of newly launched facilities.
Rainbow expects to commence operations at its Indore hospital in Q3 FY27 and at its Malad facility in Mumbai in Q1 FY28, with project work completed and interior work currently underway. According to CNBC TV18, construction of its approximately 130-bed regional hub hospital in Coimbatore is progressing, with operations expected to begin in Q3 FY28. The company is also developing two facilities in Gurugram — a 125-bed spoke hospital in Sector 56, targeted for commissioning in Q4 FY28, and a 325-bed hub hospital in Sector 44, expected to begin operations in Q1 FY29. Medium-term performance will depend on margin stabilization as new hospital capacity reaches mature occupancy levels.
Rainbow Children's Medicare shares ended 2.27% higher at ₹1,224 on October 30, gaining ₹27.20, as reported by CNBC TV18. CEO Abarali Dalal noted that the company had recorded year-on-year revenue growth of more than 20% for the third consecutive quarter, attributing the performance to onboarding of doctors, healthy occupancy and operational efficiencies. The company's focus remains on improving occupancy, maintaining patient throughput and sustaining growth across mature and new hospitals, with specialized pediatric and perinatal care continuing to experience structural demand in Indian metro and regional markets.
