
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power, convened its 37th annual general meeting (AGM) through virtual mode on August 20. The meeting was chaired by the company's Chairman and Managing Director, Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, in the presence of Director (Personnel) Dr Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Operations) Naveen Srivastava, Director (Finance) Amol Taori, and Government Nominee Director Abhay Bakre. During the AGM, the company's key financial highlights, operational achievements, and future growth prospects, technological innovations and initiatives were presented and the queries raised by the shareholders were addressed by the management.
As of July 31, POWERGRID has commissioned and is operating 292 Sub-stations and more than 186,889 ckm transmission lines and 6,37,016 MVA of transformation capacity. With the adoption of the latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, POWERGRID has been able to maintain an average transmission system availability of more than 99.81 per cent. The shareholders appreciated the company's performance and conveyed their best wishes for its continued growth.
During the AGM, the company outlined its future growth prospects, technological innovations and initiatives. These strategic directions were presented to shareholders as part of the company's long-term development plan. The meeting provided stakeholders with insights into POWERGRID's strategic roadmap for expanding its transmission infrastructure and enhancing operational capabilities in the power sector.
