The ₹231 crore revenue increase year-on-year indicates successful retail expansion and improved inventory turnover, with the company successfully navigating volatile gold prices during the quarter. According to Upstox reports, PC Jeweller plans to enter an aggressive expansion phase once it becomes debt-free, with Managing Director Balram Garg expressing confidence about opening up to 100 franchise outlets over the next 12 to 18 months. The company has reduced its outstanding debt by more than 90% since the execution of its settlement agreement with banks on September 30, 2024. Garg stated that the company has been receiving strong interest from prospective business partners for large-format franchisee showrooms, with several discussions currently at advanced stages. The planned expansion is expected to help the company expand its footprint without requiring additional capital investment. As per SAHI, the company's quarterly store-addition run rate signals potential for aggressive growth in high-growth urban corridors. According to Innovacia Insights, the franchise-led expansion strategy focuses on low-capex growth and deeper rural penetration, with the company signing partnerships with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Uttar Pradesh Government under CM-YUVA to expand franchise-led jewellery retail networks and onboard micro-entrepreneurs across India.
As reported by Upstox, PC Jeweller's preferential issue of fully convertible warrants worth ₹2,702.11 crore was completed in April 2026, with around 93% realisation of the total allotted warrants. The warrant conversion has strengthened the company's capital base and further supported its efforts towards becoming debt-free. The company has been actively working with lenders over the last 90 days to resolve outstanding debt obligations, with several major banks recently approving its One-Time Settlement (OTS) proposals. This development is expected to significantly reduce interest costs and improve the debt-to-equity ratio in upcoming quarters. According to Innovacia Insights, the company's recovery strategy combines balance sheet repair, franchise-led retail scaling, government-backed entrepreneurship partnerships, and backward integration into mining operations to drive long-term growth. The successful completion of debt restructuring and capital allocation signals a focus on debt reduction and potentially aggressive store refurbishments in high-growth urban corridors.
PC Jeweller has expanded its strategic initiatives beyond traditional retail operations. As reported by Innovacia Insights, the company incorporated PCJ Mining SARL in the Republic of Chad and secured a semi-mechanized artisanal gold mining license, opening opportunities for backward integration into mining operations. Management stated that once the company becomes debt-free, it plans aggressive showroom expansion with a target of opening up to 100 large-format franchise stores over the next 12–18 months. The company expects mining operations in Chad to positively impact topline and bottomline performance. According to Upstox, Garg outlined the company's vision for the future, stating that "to summarise the company's vision going ahead, we plan for a debt-free balance sheet soon, rapid expansion through opening large-format franchise showrooms, market penetration and expansion through opening franchise showrooms under government tie-ups and value chain integration through mining activities." Despite strong operational recovery, Innovacia Insights notes that business turnaround sustainability remains dependent on continued consumer demand recovery, with the jewellery retail sector remaining sensitive to gold price volatility and discretionary spending cycles.
