Park Medi World shares demonstrated remarkable resilience during Wednesday's trading session, touching an intraday high of ₹285.65 and moving closer to its record high of ₹305, despite broader market sell-offs. The healthcare stock opened at ₹282.40 per share on September 9, compared with its previous close of ₹282.25 on Tuesday, as reported by Live Mint. As of 1:15 pm, the company's market capitalisation stood at ₹12,202.05 crore. The stock has delivered 40% returns in six months and multibagger returns of 135% returns in the last one year, significantly outperforming the broader market amid rising crude oil prices that drove benchmark indices lower.
Park Medi World has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, Park Medicity Prayagraj Ltd, to develop and operate a 550-bed multi-super-speciality hospital in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. According to the latest exchange filing, the parent company has acquired a 100% stake in the subsidiary for ₹0.15 crore, comprising 1.5 lakh equity shares with a face value of ₹10 each. The subsidiary will operate in the healthcare sector and undertake the development and operation of the hospital, which has been awarded to the company under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model by the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation, Uttar Pradesh. The project is estimated to entail a total investment of around ₹200 crore, which will be funded through internal accruals, with the company also expecting to receive a concession of ₹76.52 crore from the Uttar Pradesh government.
The company has announced ambitious expansion plans for 2026, with 1,490 beds planned to be added in the calendar year, representing approximately 46% growth in bed capacity over the 3,250 beds available in 2025. This would mark the company's largest-ever addition of beds in any 12-month period, as reported by Live Mint. The expansion aligns with the company's strategy to strengthen its position as the second-largest private hospital chain in North India and the largest private hospital chain in terms of bed capacity in Haryana.
The company reported strong financial performance during the April–June 2026 quarter, with revenue increasing 19%, EBITDA rising 20%, and net profit climbing 35% year-on-year, as reported by Live Mint. This growth trajectory supports the company's expansion strategy and market positioning in the competitive healthcare sector. The company currently operates a network of 16 multi-super speciality hospitals under the 'Park' brand across Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, offering comprehensive clinical services spanning super-specialities including cardiology, neurology, oncology, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, critical care, nephrology, organ transplants, gene therapy, stem-cell therapy, and women & child health.
