Despite the positive market reaction, Pace Digitek shares remain down 29% from their IPO price of ₹219 and have lost 9% so far this year. The stock's all-time high stands at ₹231.95 while the all-time low is at ₹139.81, according to NSE data.
Pace Digitek's material subsidiary Lineage Power has secured a ₹488.46 crore Letter of Award from NTPC GE Power Services for the supply and commissioning of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) containers. According to the company's exchange filing, the order covers the supply, testing, supervision of erection and commissioning of 5.015 MWh BESS containers, along with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS). The contract also includes a 12-year Comprehensive Maintenance Contract (CMC). As per Pace Digitek's exchange filing dated September 21, 2026, the order has been officially received by Lineage Power Private Limited from NTPC GE Power Services Private Limited. The company announced this on Monday evening, with the order specifically for the BESS Project at Barh Super Thermal Power Project (STPP), covering NTPC's Stage I and Stage II.
The latest contract includes five years of Annual Maintenance Services (AMC) and a further seven-year extended warranty for the battery containers, providing comprehensive lifecycle support for the deployed systems. This extends beyond the initial project execution period through the 12-year CMC. The contract is scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2026, indicating a relatively short execution window for the supply, installation-related supervision, testing and commissioning components. This latest order comes shortly after Pace Digitek announced a ₹92.9 crore BESS order for its subsidiary Lineage Power from Kalpa Power. That contract covers the supply and commissioning support of a 100 MWh BESS and is also scheduled for completion by December 31, 2026.
The back-to-back wins come as Pace Digitek scales up its energy storage business, with the company recently expanding its BESS manufacturing capacity from 2.5 GWh to 5 GWh and targeting a further phased expansion to 10 GWh by Q3 FY27. According to The Economic Times, Pace Digitek has also manufactured more than 300 utility-scale BESS containers over the past year, representing around 1.5 GWh of storage capacity. The company has now operationalised 2.5 GWh of BESS manufacturing capacity as of 2025, with the latest expansion bringing total capacity to 5 GWh. Pace Digitek sees C&I applications as an emerging opportunity alongside its core utility-scale BESS business and continues to evaluate opportunities across commercial and industrial customers and other power-intensive users.
The ₹488.46 crore order value significantly expands Pace Digitek's exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), providing substantial project opportunity in the battery-storage segment. The contract involves both Battery Management System (BMS) and Energy Management System (EMS), which are critical components of modern battery-storage installations. The inclusion of these systems makes the contract more than a simple battery-supply order, with the 12-year Comprehensive Maintenance Contract providing a long-duration service component alongside the initial project execution. According to Business Standard, Venugopalrao Maddisetty, chairman & MD of Pace Digitek, stated that "This order is an important step in strengthening LPPL as a product-led BESS business. It brings together product supply, commissioning, and long-term lifecycle support, enabling us to deepen our participation across the BESS value chain and strengthen our engagement with customers beyond manufacturing. As we scale our manufacturing capacity and strengthen localisation, integration and service capabilities, our focus is to build a broader Energy platform capable of serving utility-scale requirements as well as emerging C&I applications. We will continue to invest in the capabilities required to support customers across the lifecycle of energy-storage systems."
