
NHPC Limited delivered exceptional financial results for the quarter ended March 2026, with consolidated net profit surging 71.05% to ₹1,460.16 crore compared to ₹853.64 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. According to reports from Business Standard, the company's sales revenue increased 19.96% to ₹2,815.53 crore during Q4 FY26, up from ₹2,346.97 crore in Q4 FY25. The operating profit margin (OPM) improved significantly to 22.61% in the current quarter compared to 15.13% in the previous year, demonstrating enhanced operational efficiency.
For the complete financial year 2025-26, NHPC maintained strong growth momentum with consolidated net profit rising 25.25% to ₹3,765.74 crore compared to ₹3,006.67 crore in the previous financial year. As reported by Business Standard, the company's annual sales revenue grew 11.90% to ₹11,615.29 crore in FY26, up from ₹10,379.86 crore in FY25. The operating profit margin for the full year stood at 45.08%, significantly higher than the 45.08% recorded in the previous year, indicating sustained operational improvements throughout the fiscal year.
The company's profit before tax (PBT) for Q4 FY26 was ₹389.37 crore, compared to a loss of ₹18 crore in Q4 FY25, marking a significant turnaround. According to Business Standard reports, the profit before depreciation and tax (PBDT) for the quarter was ₹368.23 crore, down from ₹586.95 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. For the full year, the PBDT stood at ₹5,869.53 crore, compared to ₹5,960.23 crore in the previous year, showing a marginal decline of 2%.
