Nestle India shares fell as much as 4.9% to ₹1,455 on Tuesday as investors weighed the company's strong quarterly performance against near-term consumption concerns. Manish Tiwary, chairman and managing director of Nestle India, sought to calm investor concerns during an analyst call, saying the company remains confident of navigating short-term inflationary and macroeconomic pressures. "While these are headwinds, inflation would be of concern, given where we are on this journey in terms of penetration, in terms of the rural consumer, in terms of premiumisation, I remain quite confident of our ability to handle these short-term blips," Tiwary said. He emphasized that the medium to long-term growth story for Nestle India does not get impacted, with the management team having the resilience to work around challenges while continuing to delight consumers in India. The reassurance came alongside the company's strong quarterly performance, with all product categories delivering double-digit growth during the quarter.
