Nandan Denim shares rose by more than 1% on 29 May following the release of its Q4 results, according to reports from LiveMint. The stock's positive movement came despite the company reporting a marginal decline in profitability for the financial year ended 31 March. The company's Board of Directors approved the audited standalone financial results on 28 May 2026.
For the financial year FY26, Nandan Denim reported a net profit of ₹33.13 crore, which was slightly lower than the ₹33.45 crore recorded in FY25, as reported by LiveMint. Revenue from operations declined to ₹2,871.87 crore from ₹3,546.68 crore in the previous financial year, while total income stood at ₹2,886.07 crore. For the March quarter specifically, the company posted a net profit of ₹9.51 crore on total income of ₹549.37 crore.
According to LiveMint reports, total expenses declined significantly to ₹2,843.82 crore in FY26 from ₹3,508.45 crore a year ago, primarily due to lower raw material costs. Raw material expenses fell to ₹2,486.05 crore from ₹3,118.24 crore in the previous financial year. Finance costs also eased substantially to ₹17.66 crore from ₹36.74 crore in FY25, while employee benefit expenses remained relatively stable at ₹87.95 crore.
The company's ability to maintain profitability despite revenue decline and achieve cost savings across multiple expense categories demonstrates effective operational management, as noted in the LiveMint report. The positive stock response suggests investor confidence in the company's cost control measures and potential future recovery prospects. The broader market context shows mixed performance with Nifty Bank witnessing volatile trading and consolidation below key technical levels, with the index settling lower by 239.05 points at 54,853.85.
