
State-run Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) announced on Tuesday that its board of directors has approved an interim dividend for the financial year 2025-26. According to reports from CNBC TV18, the board declared an interim dividend of ₹4 per fully paid-up equity share of ₹10 each, translating to 40% for FY26. The company has fixed Wednesday, March 11, 2026, as the record date for ascertaining the eligibility of shareholders for payment of the interim dividend. The dividend payment will be made to eligible shareholders on or before April 2, 2026.
The board has recommended the appointment of M/s Kumar Naresh Sinha & Associates, a firm of practicing Company Secretaries, as the Secretarial Auditor of the company for a period of five consecutive years from FY 2026-27 to FY 2030-31. As reported by CNBC TV18, the appointment is subject to the approval of shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting. Shri Naresh Kumar Sinha brings over four decades of rich experience in the field of corporate law and secretarial practice, having served as Executive Director and Company Secretary of ONGC Limited and Company Secretary and Head of Legal at BHEL. The board meeting commenced at 4:00 PM and concluded at 5:40 PM on March 3, 2026.
According to CNBC TV18, MRPL reported strong financial results for the third quarter. Net profit for the period stood at ₹1,451 crore, compared to ₹627 crore during the September quarter. Revenue for the period grew 9% from the September quarter to ₹24,712 crore from ₹22,684 crore, with the revenue numbers adjusted for the excise duty component. Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) for the period increased to ₹2,784 crore from ₹1,489 crore in September, with EBITDA margin expanding by nearly 500 basis points to 11.3% from 6.6% in the previous quarter.
