
According to latest reports from Mint and CNBC TV18, footwear retailer Metro Brands Ltd delivered robust financial results for Q3FY26, with net profit surging 37% to ₹130 crore compared to ₹95 crore in the same period last year. Revenue grew 15% to ₹811 crore from ₹703.1 crore in Q3FY25, driven by strong festive and wedding season demand. The company's performance was further supported by the reduction in GST on footwear priced below ₹2,500, which benefited consumer demand during the quarter.
As reported by Mint, the company's EBITDA increased 17.6% to ₹265 crore from the previous year, while EBITDA margin expanded by 500 basis points to 32.7% from 31.9% year-on-year. For the nine-month period ended December 2025, Metro Brands recorded 12% revenue growth. The improved margins reflect the company's operational efficiency and the positive impact of favorable market conditions during the festive season.
According to the company's results reported by Mint, e-commerce and omni-channel sales grew 24% during Q3FY26, contributing 12% of revenue compared to 11% in Q3FY25. For the nine-month period, digital sales grew 35%, accounting for 13% of revenue. This digital expansion demonstrates the company's successful omni-channel strategy and growing online presence in the competitive footwear retail market.
As reported by Mint, during Q3FY26, Metro Brands opened 35 new stores and closed 11, reflecting a calibrated approach to network expansion. Over the nine-month period, 100 new stores were added, offset by 18 closures. The company launched MetroActiv, its dynamic multi-brand sports performance retail concept, which brings together leading global brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, ASICS, Skechers, New Balance, FILA, and New Era under one roof. With this launch, Metro Brands aims to become the most trusted name in athletic sportswear retail, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and leadership in the footwear and athleisure segment.
According to Mint, the company's board of directors approved an interim dividend of ₹3 per equity share of face value ₹5 each and set Monday, February 2, 2026, as the record date for determining shareholder eligibility for the interim dividend payment for FY 2025-26. The dividend payment will be made within thirty days from the date of declaration, demonstrating the company's commitment to returning value to shareholders following its strong quarterly performance.
