Mankind Pharma delivered strong Q3 FY2026 results, with net profit rising 9.5% year-on-year to ₹414 crore from ₹385 crore in the previous year, as reported by Moneycontrol. Revenue grew 11.5% to ₹3,567 crore, driven by domestic growth and consolidation of Bharat Serums and Vaccines Ltd (BSV) acquired in 2024. The results showed sequential improvement with profit declining 20.4% from the previous quarter, demonstrating the company's ability to maintain growth momentum despite market challenges. Diluted EPS came in at ₹9.9, registering 6.7% YoY growth with a face value of ₹1.
The company's EBITDA remained largely unchanged at ₹816 crore year-on-year, though adjusted EBITDA margin contracted by 170 basis points to 25.9% from the previous year. This margin compression reflects the impact of recent acquisitions and business integration activities. However, EBITDA margins improved sequentially to 25.8% from 25.5% in the year-ago period, demonstrating operational efficiency despite the sequential decline. PAT margin stood at 11.6% during the quarter, indicating the company's ability to maintain profitability levels despite market headwinds. As per Moneycontrol, the company cited improving mix and BSV consolidation benefits as key factors for the sequential margin improvement.
The domestic branded drugs business, which makes up the major chunk of overall sales, expanded 11.1% year-on-year to ₹3,046 crore. The company has been focusing on increasing its chronic drug portfolio share, which increased by 200 basis points to 39.3% in Q3, driven by 16.7% growth in cardiac drugs and 14.4% growth in anti-diabetes medicines. The consumer health business grew 5.2% year-on-year to ₹203 crore, regaining momentum after a dip in Q2FY26. Over-the-counter (OTC) revenue rose 5.2% YoY in Q3FY26, reversing a decline of 2.6% in the previous quarter, with modern trade and e-commerce share increasing to 13.1% from 9.8% a year ago, supported by around 40% growth. Secondary sales growth stood at 8.5% compared to IPM growth of 11.8%, largely due to underperformance in acute therapies amid ongoing corrective actions.
The export revenues increased 14.1% YoY to ₹521 crore, aided by strong performance in the international BSV business, as reported by Moneycontrol. The company's acquisition of 100% stake in BSV for ₹13,768 crore in October 2024 is progressing well, with strong double-digit growth in Q3 as reported by vice chairman and managing director Rajeev Juneja. The acquisition gave Mankind Pharma entry into super-specialty, high-entry-barrier products in women's health, fertility and critical care. Additionally, Mankind Pharma (excluding BSV) launched four new products during 9MFY26, taking the total number of products launched in the US to 48, strengthening its long-term growth pipeline. The company highlighted that BSV's integration is progressing well, with the super-specialty portfolio described as a high-entry-barrier platform for medium- and long-term growth.
A key investor focus remains the company's leverage after acquiring BSV. As of December 31, Mankind Pharma reported net debt of ₹4,294 crore, down from ₹6,739 crore in the year-ago period, indicating successful deleveraging post-acquisition. Net debt to EBITDA also trended lower, declining from 2.2x to 1.3x over the period shown, demonstrating that cash generation is helping deleverage post-acquisition. For the nine months ended December 2025, consolidated revenue climbed 18.7% to ₹10,835 crore, but PAT fell 12.6% to ₹1,379 crore with margins lower year-on-year. Management's focus remains on building long-term growth on four pillars — base domestic business, faster-growing specialty chronic, high-potential OTC, and BSV's super-specialty portfolio.
Despite missing analyst expectations, Mankind Pharma's shares gained 4% to ₹2,155.90 on Tuesday following the results announcement, as reported by The Economic Times. The positive market reaction reflects investor confidence in the company's steady earnings growth and improving consumer healthcare performance. On the technical front, trendline data indicates that the 14-day RSI stands at 51, suggesting neutral momentum, with the stock trading below five of its eight key simple moving averages but remaining above short-term moving averages including the 5-day, 10-day, and 15-day SMAs. The company's significant increase in modern trade and e-commerce contribution, with channel share rising to 13.1% in Q3FY26 from 9.8% in Q3FY25, supported by over 40% growth, demonstrates successful digital transformation initiatives.
