This compares to ₹43,034 crore in FY25. The gold loan segment witnessed a sharp pickup with disbursements climbing to ₹2,331 crore during the quarter, more than double the ₹990 crore seen a year earlier. This surge was driven by rising gold prices and increased demand for loans backed by gold. The gold loan business recorded strong sequential growth of 31% QoQ, supported by higher ticket sizes and rising gold prices. The average ticket size of gold loans grew 68% YoY and 25% QoQ to ₹1,27,700 due to rising gold prices and shift to higher ticket size lending.

The recovery in this segment indicates divergence in business performance across different lending verticals is narrowing, with the microfinance business now contributing positively to overall profitability.
