
City gas distribution company Mahanagar Gas has announced a final dividend of ₹18 per equity share for the financial year ended March 31, 2026. According to the company's exchange filing dated May 7, 2026, this represents an 180% payout and is in addition to the interim dividend of ₹12 per equity share declared by the Board of Directors on February 7, 2026. The total dividend for FY2025-26 will be ₹30 per equity share having face value of ₹10 each, subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting.
August 18, 2026, has been fixed as the record date to determine shareholder eligibility for the dividend payment. As reported by Mahanagar Gas, the final dividend will be paid within 30 days from the date of AGM to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as of the record date. The dividend will be paid subject to deduction of tax at source at applicable rates, with payment subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing AGM scheduled for August 25, 2026.
According to the latest financial results, Mahanagar Gas reported standalone net sales of ₹2,371.71 crore for June 2026, representing a 20.03% year-on-year growth. The company operates as a leading natural gas distribution company established in 1995 as a joint venture between GAIL (India) Ltd, BG Group (U.K.) and the Government of Maharashtra. Mahanagar Gas has pioneered the natural gas distribution network in Mumbai and its neighboring areas, offering products including Domestic PNG, Commercial PNG, Industrial PNG and CNG.
