
According to latest reports from Business Standard, Magellanic Cloud Limited and its subsidiaries have secured a series of orders aggregating over ₹111.04 crore from leading Indian Railways divisions, BFSI institutions, GAIL (India), PSU Banks and DFCCIL. The orders were secured within a relatively short period, highlighting the company's strong execution momentum and growing market opportunities. The company expects to build further on this order momentum through the balance of FY27, with continued opportunities across its technology, e-surveillance and digital infrastructure businesses.
As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine and TipRanks, Magellanic Cloud Limited's wholly owned subsidiary, Provigil Surveillance Limited, has secured a significant contract from Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL). The contract, worth ₹8,89,99,860, was awarded by DFCCIL's Ahmedabad unit and covers the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, operations and maintenance of an IP-based CCTV surveillance system across the New Palanpur–New Gothangam section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. The engagement operates on an OPEX model for five years and includes remote video monitoring, perimeter security, asset protection, and Command and Control Centre infrastructure. As per TipRanks, the deal represents a Letter of Acceptance that was secured shortly after another DFCCIL order, deepening Magellanic Cloud's role in AI-enabled security for critical railway infrastructure.
As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, shares of Magellanic Cloud Limited surged 6.95 per cent to ₹28.63 on the NSE following the contract announcement. The stock touched an intraday high of ₹29.10 against a previous close of ₹26.77, with traded volume of 67.55 lakh shares and a traded value of ₹19.19 crore for the session as of midday. The company's total market capitalisation stood at approximately ₹1,687.68 crore. However, the stock remains significantly below its 52-week high of ₹90.50, recorded in August 2025, and carries an annualised volatility of 77.38 per cent. According to latest market data, Magellanic Cloud shares added 6% as part of broader stock-specific action on Dalal Street on August 18, with investors reacting to a mix of corporate developments, order wins and regulatory approvals.
According to the report, the new contract encompasses advanced technical features including AI-enabled video analytics, centralised monitoring, and video management systems. The scope also covers remote video monitoring, perimeter security, asset protection, and Command and Control Centre infrastructure. As per TipRanks, by embedding AI-driven video analytics and centralized command-and-control capabilities, the engagement strengthens the company's strategic positioning as a key technology partner for public-sector infrastructure and supports its broader growth strategy in critical infrastructure security. Global CEO and Managing Director Joseph Sudheer Reddy Thumma stated that the order reflects confidence in Provigil's execution capabilities and that the company remains focused on expanding its order pipeline in critical infrastructure.
